Dota 2 levels

The Dota 2 Reborn update introduced a number of new features, one of which was account levels. Leveling up can be obtained for 100 trophy points. The minimum is 0, the maximum is 99. Each has its own display in the form of a game item, the higher it is, the cooler the item.

In order to increase your level, you need to receive trophy points, which in turn are earned by receiving various trophies, which themselves have a certain value. Up to level 10 inclusive, you will receive various cosmetic items from those sold in the store. After level 10, a gift will be given for every fifth, the reward will be random.

Levels do not provide any special privileges or game advantages, but there are some advantages, namely:

  • The chance of rare items dropping will be higher;
  • They give gifts;
  • Prestige among other players (doubtful, but still reflects your actual gaming experience).

But, by and large, this is just a display of the player’s activity and another “number” that can be pumped up.

Trophies in Dota 2

The list of trophies that are needed to increase the level is updated regularly. There are so-called constants that will always give you points as you play. For example, the “Experience Trophy”, it is “collected” after each match, and its maximum level is not limited. If there are players for whom it has already exceeded 500-600, but there are few of them.

There are trophies that are given for certain tricks by some heroes, and there are those that can be obtained by participating in certain events. They are also given for predicting your victories or the number of Last Hit.

You can also buy compendium points, thus receiving a reward. That is, it is possible to increase your level, but at the same time not play a single game, but only by spending a certain amount of money. On the one hand, this is bad, but on the other hand, you still won’t get any gaming benefits.

Considering that account levels in Dota 2 have only recently appeared, the number of different trophies and opportunities to increase your level will only increase.

Valve collected each player's achievements together and added a certain level badge to their profile. You can learn about the badge itself, what its level depends on and how to increase it from this news.

About a year ago, a gallery of Feats was added to the game client, and every time you completed certain tasks in Dota 2, you received trophies that show off on your Dota profile. You have probably already received a number of trophies, and each of them will bring you trophy points, with which you can increase your Dota level (badge level). To see your collection of trophies and the number of points you will receive for them, go to your Dota profile and go to the "Trophies" section.

The icon that appears on your Dota profile will be a kind of indicator of all your achievements in Dota 2, and its level will directly depend on the number of trophies you have and the matches you have played over the years. Each trophy brings a different number of trophy points to your Dota level. Points are awarded when you receive a trophy and when you upgrade it to the next level.

100 trophy points = 1 Dota level.

Two new trophies have been added to the Dota 2 Reborn client today: Experience Trophy and Battle Veteran Trophy

Experience Trophy: Rewards you for simply playing Dota. Each match you play will improve the trophy, and with each new level you will receive trophy points.

Battle Veteran Trophy: All players who earn Battle Points in Dota 2 will receive a commemorative trophy that will award Trophy Points based on Battle Level.

Valve also announced that new trophies will be added very soon.

After the reborn in Dota 2, leveling up your account has changed, now to do this you need to collect various trophies as a reward for different actions in the game: playing, completing various challenges, participating in events and much more. For different trophies you get different amounts of trophy points, 100 trophy points are equal to 1 Dota level. Trophy points are given for obtaining or improving a trophy. For each Dota level you will receive a new icon.

One of the most important trophies is the Experience Trophy. By upgrading the Experience Trophy to level 50, you will be able to participate in battles in ranked games. Before the reborn, to participate in ranked games you needed to get a lvl 13 account. Players whose account level was 13 or higher at the time of rebirth were not affected by changes in access to ranked games. But players whose account level was less than 13 at the time of rebirth will now have to upgrade the Experience Trophy to level 50.

In order to level up the Experience Trophy, you still need to participate in competitive games as before. The amount of experience points per match is close to 50 and is similar to the old battle points system. Long matches give more points, short matches less. There are no restrictions on the level of leveling up the Trophy per level. But do not forget that in order to start playing rated games you will also need to go through calibration games (Solo or Party). You can try your luck yourself, or you can trust the professionals and get an account ready for rating games.

With the release of Dota 2 Reborn, the account level system was redesigned; the new system received significant changes. Now leveling up depends not on the number and time of games played, but on trophies.

You can get trophies in Dota 2 in different ways: simply by playing, completing various tasks and challenges, participating in events (for example, buying and upgrading a Battle Pass) and many other ways. There are quite a lot of trophies, and the developers never stop adding them.

The trophies you receive will be posted on your Dota 2 profile; you can view your collection on the special “Trophies” tab on your profile page. Trophies have their own name, description and information about the achievement, as well as a caption that shows how many trophy points it gives. Obtaining or improving a trophy will earn you trophy points, each trophy has a different number of points. Conversion occurs according to the following principle: 100 trophy points are equal to 1 Dota 2 level.

In the updated system, the player's account level is displayed as an in-game item icon and a number that displays the current level. The higher the account level, the more expensive the item shown as the level will be. If this is your first time logging into Dota 2, your level icon will show the item “Iron Branch” and next to it the number “0” - which means level zero. Having reached level 99, you will see the “Divine Rapier” item, and if you continue to play, then the images of your level will begin to repeat again, but with a more beautiful outline.

At a time when Dota 2 was still on the Source 1 engine, levels were a fairly significant unit, they reflected the experience and skill of the player. The new trophy system follows much the same goal, but at the moment most Dota players consider them to be useless. There is no motivation to get trophies and earn a level in Dota 2, and in general, the understanding of why they are needed is quite vague.

With the new global update called "New Life - Reborn", the usual levels in Dota 2 have been changed. Everyone's accounts were reset to level 0, if you played before, then your level depended on the level of your account before the update came out and the achievements you received for which you also get the experience that you need to increase your level in Dota 2. Levels in Dota 2 are needed in primarily for opening ranked games (MMR), also now each level has its own icon. At each level it is one or another artifact from Dota. In more detail in the article we will look at how to increase the level in Dota 2.

How to level up Dota 2:

  • Battle points. This achievement was awarded for previously achieved levels, before the release of Reborn.
  • Trophy for experience. This achievement is awarded for playing in ranked games.
  • Perfectionist. This achievement is awarded for passing the test of all heroes.
  • Trophies. Each trophy gives a certain amount of experience, which is necessary to increase the level in Dota 2.

By playing ranked games, you earn points, which will subsequently affect your level in Dota 2. That is, to increase your level in Dota 2, you just need to play ranked games and participate in events. To increase the level, you need to score 100 points. When a player reaches level 100, the player’s frame improves, namely it becomes silver and all levels begin to go over again.
