Top Light Sets

Light armor  - The most popular type of equipment for players. They allow you to move faster in battle, do not constrain movement and give a lot of stealth bonuses. For protection, at high levels and with maximum leveling, such armor is not inferior to heavy, and therefore received the title of one of the most usable in Skyrim.

Among all the game sets (not including DLS), two armor can be distinguished:

1. Nightingale.  It is issued after complete passage of the line of quests of the Thieves Guild. Unique equipment increases endurance, increases damage from one-handed weapons, improves stealth by 25%, and makes unlocking easier. Plus, the appearance of the equipment is very pleasant and will look great on the hero until the very end of the game.

Any of the listed equipment will be an excellent protection and decoration for the player and will appeal to most gamers.

Best heavy armor

As I already said, there is not much difference between light and heavy equipment, because in Skyrim there is a limit of 576 units of protection, which provides an 80% reduction in all physical damage received. If the armor is with indicators above the specified limit, this will not be taken into account.

The only difference in this situation is the speed of reaching the protection threshold. Using heavy armor, getting maximum protection from physical attacks will be easier and faster.

In the game, there are 2 top sets of equipment:

1. Daedric armor. The main components for the manufacture are Dadrovskie hearts and hard rubber ingots. Equipment has the highest defense in the game and is considered to be the best heavy armor. Plus, the appearance of the armor is also on top and pleases the eye of any gamer.
2. Armor of Azidal.  Awarded as a reward for completing the Excavation quest. The armor earned its place in this top due to the enchantment: a chance to paralyze the enemy during his attack, spells of the constellation Sorcery and rune skills cost 25% less, while the radius of their action increases.

Heavy armor

Daedric armor is the heaviest, but also the most effective protective kit. It is rare, is very expensive and is very much appreciated. Full daedric armor makes the player almost immortal.

Heavy dragon armor - although inferior in effectiveness to daedric armor, it is slightly lighter and stronger, and to everything else, it is found a little more often.

Ebonite armor is a rare, but still quite common type of heavy armor. This armor protects better than metal, but weighs a lot, which affects the stamina of the game character.

Dwemer armor is the best type of heavy metal armor. Usually found in dungeons, it has average protective characteristics, which are quite consistent with the average weight.

Metal armor - this includes iron, steel and orc armor. They have average protection, but a lot of weight. However, at the initial stages of the game they are quite effective.

Light armor

This type of armor is used by characters for whom close combat is a necessary measure. It is worn by thieves, magicians, archers - all those who hit the enemy at a distance or in the back. The advantages of this type of armor are low weight, which allows you to stay longer endurance, as well as the ability to quickly and quietly move. The flip side is fragility and low strength, as well as lower protection parameters compared to heavy armor.

Light Dragon Armor is undoubtedly the best type of light armor. Combines protection at the level of heavy armor with low weight. It is very rare, which is not surprising for armors with such characteristics.

Glass armor is worse than dragon armor, but still has a high level of protection for light armor. The disadvantages include not only the rarity of distribution, but also its fragility, which is why it requires frequent repair.

Elven armor - already found more often in glass and has solid characteristics, both strength and protection. This armor is the most affordable of the expensive and rare types of light armor.

Leather light armor - includes lamellar, leather, riveted and rawhide armor. These armors are easily accessible to the player, but their characteristics are not high.

In TESO there is no clear distribution between classes of types of armor; each class can wear any type of armor: light, medium and heavy. Different game classes and your game strategies, depending on the type of armor, can bring both benefit and degrade parameters and create inconvenience. Light armor

Light armor is one of the most popular types of armor, it is often chosen by support classes, magicians and healers: ordinary spellcasters who usually do not meet on the battlefield and do not require such protection as melee classes. Thus, it is most popular among sorcerers and templars. The light armor skill line contains one active spell and five different passive abilities, most of which give you a bonus on magic (mana) or additional protection.

Active abilities:

• • Annulment - Creates 15% damage over 20 seconds and you take 50% less damage from the spell.

Passive abilities:

• Evolution (3 ranks) - Reduces spell magic cost by 1% for each piece of light armor you put on.
• Recovery (2 ranks) - Increases magic regeneration by 2% for each item of light armor.
• Spell (2 ranks) - Increases your character's spell resistance by 3% for each light armor item.
• Prodigy (2 ranks) - When wearing at least 5 items of light armor, the chance of getting a critical strike from an enemy is reduced by 5%.
• Concentration (2 categories) - You ignore 3% of the magic resistance of your enemy for each equipped part of light armor.

Medium Armor

Medium armor is ideal for assassins and rangers. Bonuses of this type of armor give an increase to dexterity and endurance, therefore it can be used in melee classes such as a tank, templar, etc. Below is a list of active and passive skills in the medium armor skill tree!

Active abilities:

• • Evasion - 15% increased chance to dodge for 17 seconds.

Passive abilities:

• Dexterity (3 ranks) - Increases critical strike chance by 1% when using each piece of medium armor.
• Wind Walker (2 ranks) - Your stamina recovery is increased by 2% for each piece of medium armor put on.
• Fortress (2 categories) - You gain stealth by 3%, and reduces the cost of stamina by 4% for each equipped medium armor you have.
• Dexterity (2 ranks). Your attack speed increases by 5% if you wear 5 or more medium armor units.
• Battlefield Mobility (2 ranks). Your sprint speed increases by 2%, and your stamina for evading attacks decreases by 2% for each part of the armor.

Heavy armor

Heavy armor is intended for melee fighters. It offers the best protection and health regeneration, therefore it is an ideal solution for classes such as a templar or a dragon knight. Even melee DPS characters often wear heavy armor due to their increased protective potential, and some magicians can also use it.

Active abilities:

• • Immovable - Increases your armor and spell resistance by 17 for 8 seconds and makes you invulnerable to repel and disable effects for a duration.

Passive abilities:

• Resolution (3 digits) - for each item of heavy armor equipped with your physical mitigation and spell resistance, increases by 1%.
    Constitution (2 categories). Your health regeneration is increased by 2% for each piece of heavy armor you have equipped.
• Juggernaut (2 ranks) - Increases the strength of your melee attacks by 0.5% for each item of heavy armor.
• Fortress (2 categories). The stamina cost for blocking attacks is reduced by 10% if you wear 5 or more pieces of heavy armor.
• Rapid Mending - Heals you 0.5% more powerful for each equipped heavy armor.

The best one-handed weapon in Skyrim

The dragon is undoubtedly the most powerful weapon with basic damage, but it is also much heavier (except for daggers, where a dagger made of dragon bone is only 0.5 kg heavier). Yielding to the unit of basic damage, a steelgrim mace or ax will be much lighter and in total - better, except for swords, where the vaunted Daedric blade has more base damage and almost the same weight.

All these weapons can be enchanted, but you can’t do this on unique artifacts (in most cases), so some weapons below can be good only if you don’t have such specialization.

The best light armor in Skyrim

Of the craft sets in the game, two of the most powerful light armor are available: Steelgrim (with the addition of Dragonborn) and Dragon Scales. The difference between them is small, and if one element of the armor is better, then the other is worse.

Steelgrim boots and bracers have the same basic armor parameter as the dragon.

With a bib and a helmet, not everything is clear.

The bib is lighter by 3 kg, but less in armor by 2. It makes sense to wear Elven gold-plated armor, the armor class is inferior to 6, but its weight is also less by 6.

The shield is undoubtedly made of dragon scales - the weight is 4 lighter, inferior in armor by only 1.

The helmet is lighter by 2 kg, but less in armor by 1. But in terms of the armor parameter, in comparison with the Masks of dragon priests, any other light helmet fades. Krosis, Wolsung or Mirak (Dragonborn) will suit you. You can collect all 8 basic masks and go to the past, where you will induce the leader's heavy mask. Krosis is the best, freely available, for getting head to the Two-Headed Peak.

Skyrim Legendary Light Armor

If you don’t enchant armor yourself, then you will be interested in legendary sets, and if you don’t have DLC installed, the best thing you can get is scolding from the Dark Brotherhood, or rather its old version in the faction quest “Find an Assassin from the Past”. If her kits have, if not the same parameters, then a bit is better.
