The island of Cyprus is a place where every place is suitable for relaxation. After all, there are so many cities and famous resorts on the island. For example, Larnaca, Protaras, Ayia Napa, Limasson and, of course, Paphos. Which one to choose for your vacation? A new map of Cyprus with resorts in Russian will help you with this, in which all the best resorts of Cyprus are indicated. You will see where they are and how close they are to the sea. Thanks to the map, you can easily determine the place where you will be comfortable and well.

How to choose a resort in Cyprus correctly?
There is no exact algorithm for this. Therefore, here you have to rely on the reviews of tourists or on your instinct. After all, each resort is beautiful in its own way and unique in its own way. For example, somewhere there is no wind, since the beaches of the resort are located in a bay that hides the coast from the winds. And which resorts can boast sunny days all summer long. It never rains on them.

Also, don't forget about infrastructure, especially hotels. Since Cyprus has hot and dry weather almost all summer long, it is important to choose the right hotel. The room, even the cheapest room, should have air conditioning and a shower with a bathtub. If there is no air conditioner, it is simply unrealistic to sleep at night when the air temperature is below +25. And if the room does not have a shower, how will you wash and take a bathroom? Therefore, when choosing a resort, choose a hotel to have everything in it.

When choosing a resort, also pay attention to its location. Naturally, the resorts located in the south are the hottest. And the northern resorts are a little cooler. Although this is not so noticeable in summer, the difference is colossal in spring and autumn. In southern resorts, the water warms up faster and cools down more slowly. While in the northern part of the island, the sea water becomes optimal at the beginning of summer, and is already quite cool at the beginning of autumn.

In Cyprus, almost all beaches are sandy. Therefore, the choice is not so critical here. But what is important is that the beaches belong to the municipality, so the entrance to them is free! There are also exceptions when the beach belongs to the hotel. Then only hotel guests can visit it. But this is even better, since there are no strangers on the beach, it is always clean and completely at your disposal.

Well, next we will show you a map with the resorts of the island. See and choose your resort and have fun!
By the way!
The map is interactive and you can zoom in and out to get a better view of each resort.

Cyprus is rich not only in beaches, but also in sights. Still, the proximity of Turkey and Greece in historical terms and in terms of geography makes itself felt. Every town on the island has beautiful buildings, sites and monuments. Many of them were built hundreds of years ago, and some have become iconic thanks to tourists who just loved them.

For example, the Troodos Mountains have become a popular destination thanks to tourists. Here is the legendary Mount Olympus, which is the center of skiing in Cyprus. But not only ski lovers come here. There are also many hiking trails in the mountains. Still, it is useful to take a walk in the mountains and get some fresh air. These mountains are visited both in winter and in summer. There are buses bringing tourists here.

In the eleventh century, by order of the Byzantine Emperor Alexei II Komnenos, the construction of the Kykkos Monastery began. The uniqueness of the monastery at its age is that it is located at an altitude of 1140 meters in the mountains. This place is popular with all tourists, and when visiting it, tourists pray for themselves and their loved ones.

Temples, monasteries and churches are the main attractions of the island. For example, the Church of St. Lazarus in Larnaca is considered almost the oldest building in Cyprus. Many scholars claim that this particular church was the first to appear here. It was here that Jesus resurrected after the death of Lazarus and after his relics became saints and are still preserved.

You will be surprised, but there is the Choirokitia Excavation site, which has become a museum and is included in the World Heritage List. This ancient settlement is 9-10 thousand years old! It is believed that this settlement was one of the first to be considered civilized!

There are many villages in Cyprus and one deserves special attention. This is the village of Lefkara, which is famous for its lacemakers. This style of lace weaving is known all over the world, and in Europe it is the most popular. But only here lace is woven in the same way as it was done many centuries ago. This method of weaving lace is considered the property of the republic and is kept secret, as a military secret.

Do you want to visit a place where in the middle of the 5th millennium BC the locals mastered the city and held city meetings and celebrated holidays? Then visit the archaeological site-park Kourion. Little is left of the city, but the famous ancient Greek theater has survived and performances are still performed here.

The Tombs of the Kings in the city of Paphos is a place where not only tourists but also locals come. It was here that famous people of the island were buried, and this place was very rich. Noble people were buried along with wealth and in expensive coffins. Many living Cypriots have relatives buried in their tomb!

Why is Petra tou Romiou rock so popular with tourists and Cypriots? It's very simple - it was here that Aphrodite was born from foam and sea waves! Not visiting this place means not visiting and not getting to know Cyprus. Couples in love love to swim here, and as if by this swimming they tie their love bonds.

These are far from all the sights and more beautiful places. We recommend that you study the map, where you will see almost all the architectural monuments, you can see their photos and read the description.
