At the beginning of this year, I met a franchise toouhou. For those who do not know: Touhou is a series of Bullethell-games created by the Japanese under the Zun pseudonym, there are about 21 official games and even more fan games. The series immediately hooked me, these games were a challenge, with which she had not faced (Bullethell-shooters), and the community of fans on the forums was very friendly. Several months have passed since I met Touhou, and Teberer I consider myself a big fan of the series. I passed all the official games, from the PC-98 era to the Windows era, I know all the characters and I have even pets, I am a lot of participating in the life of the Touhou community and looked through the mass of the fan content. Before I discovered Touhou, no series fascinated me so much.

One of my favorite characters was a mime, in my opinion, she was one of the most gorgeous characters in the entire Universe of Touhou. She was a hostess of one of the main characters and the first who became the final boss in Touhou Bullethell Games (Touhou 1 was not Bullethell), but it mysteriously disappeared when switching from PC-98 on Windows, as well as many other characters. Due to the fact that in modern Touhou games, some PC-98 characters returned, many hoped for her return every time a new game was announced, but she never returned, after leaving fans like me in sorrow. After another game without a mime (Touhou 13.5) I stayed in my usual unhappy state until I had reached me (as late, I am a slot!) That a new game was announced, Touhou 14. It was another chance for returning For mime.

I didn't even play a demo version, so when you exit the full version of the game, I could get to know her, without having the slightest information about the fact that it represents ("Fresh" experience, so to speak). When the game was finally released, I decided to wait for an angentifier to understand what was happening there. I did not know about the new mechanic to install the translation and several months could not find an angentifier, but I had something to do, so I did not worry about this. In the end, in the store with anime and games I found something about buying something else more than about something or in my life. It was a CD with Touhou 14 in plastic packaging, probably in Japanese, as he looked official.

When installing, I did not notice one important thing that could save me from the curse - a small licensing agreement, which I (like everything, probably) missed, especially since it was on Japanese, I warned me that I should not play, and Must get rid of the disk as soon as possible. I found out about it only when I reinstalled the game, trying to understand everything, and transferred the license agreement with Japanese through the translator, but it was too late. After installing, the "Th14" folder appears on the computer with the application and a bunch of .dat files. When I launched the game, on the clock was 1 hour and night (I did not want to wait until tomorrow). The game started in full-pointed mode and started, like all of the facto-games - the main menu of the Rime appeared on the background.

Something here attracted my attention: the extra level was already open. Extra-level is a special level, it opens if you go through the game on a normal or higher complexity without the use of continuing (1CC, 1 Credit Clear - so it is called). Someone playing the game to me? There was such an opportunity. I bought a disc in a randomly caught shop on the sale of anime and games, buying a pirate disk should not be something unexpected. I clicked on the extr.4 to see what characters the game was passed. I was surprised that the game was issued 2 options - "extra-level" and "fan-level".

The fantasy level was the level of Yukari in Touhou 7 PCB, it is more difficult than the fantasp level and was present only in one game. What character could be a foam-level boss? If it were again Yukari, it would look like a laziness from the developer. Very believable was the idea that it could be a new heroine, able to quit in strength from Yukari. The idea was swept in my head: it could be the return of the mime!

Thille thinking, I started the game on a fantasy in the hope of finally seeing the return of one of my favorite characters. The only one open for this stage was Marisa, a student Mime, what could happen if she found her suddenly disappeared old Mrs.? I was entertaining more than ever and started playing. The action happened in the Khuuri temple (the place where the mime must be sealed) and the enemies were ghosts from old games for PC-98, I was more than sure that the mime would finally return.

The level was severe, thanks to the lasers, Marisi I barely got to the boss. The Lord blessed Zuna, it was a mime! Just a shame that I could not read the dialogue, but on the face of Marisi easily it was easy to read a surprise when a mime appeared. Her sprite was very well made; Zun must have tried very hard when working on graphics in this game. Then there was a series of incomprehensible replicas conversation of two characters, but at least I could follow the expression of their faces, at the surprise of Marisi and the evil grin of mimes. Then, after a series of replicas Mimes, Marisi's face changed: now it has been displayed absolute fear, and it was obvious. Mima continued to speak, and I watched Marisi's face, guessing that Mim could say this to force one of the most fearless characters almost to cry from horror (tears were clearly visible in her eyes). Suddenly, the Mim began to turn into his form "Demon". I saw this transformation when it fought with it in TH02, but the level of PC-98 graphics did not allow it in detail to see it.

Now, with more advanced graphics, details were clearly visible. It was at least disgusting: in this monster there was nothing resembling Mim. He had strange fangs, a face without jaws, green hair and a mime hat, huge wings of volatile mouse, and her lunar staff was now twice as much as usual. If she described it in front of his transformation, then it is possible to understand her horror. Suddenly the fight began, and I could not respond quickly enough to escape from the direct hit of the bullet. I have no extra lives left, and my bombs could not harm her, I did not have another choice, except to focus and evade so good as possible.

I was able to escape from her ordinary attack and prepared for Spelcart. "Twilight Spark". "Wow, Zun really follows the work of the fans" - I thought and began to shy away from 3 giant lasers. It was hard to get away from these lasers, but when the bullets began to appear because of the lower edge of the screen, all my skills were not enough and I got on one of the lasers.

I lost, and patience to play again, I did not have, but then I noticed that the screen was completely white. Gradually, visibility returned, and I saw Marisa and Monster "Demon" Mimes, again speaking in incomprehensible Munchika (Japanese text). I noticed that Marisa burned out, burns were visible on her face, hands, clothes, too, burned somewhat. Marisa was painfully looking at Mima during the conversation, but that seemed to be all the same. Thank God, the "demon" mime had no own art for the dialogues, only sprite boss was visible. I felt guilty because of the state of Marisa, I got out, and Marisa paid for it, and therefore I slipped the dialogue as quickly as possible to cross the level without making the same errors. The dialogue ended, but I did not see the menu: I was not offered to replay or even go out.

Instead, after a few seconds, silence, sprite mime pointed to the end of the lunar press on Marisa and, before I managed to think about what she was going to do, she rushed to the sprite of Marisi and won a staff in her. To my horror, the staff pierced the Body Marisi with the sound of the punctured intestines (I can't associate this sound anything else), and Marisa remained punctured. I have half a minute, I sat like petrified before I realized that the game hung. I pressed different keys, but in the end I cut the game through the task manager. As soon as the application disappeared from the screen, I understood: something is wrong. My wallpaper with Moko changed to the image of a mime standing over Marisa with her body piercing her body in her hands and empty indifferent eyes. What is this though? A bunch of options flashed in my head. Was it a joined game?

Tasteless joke of the Zun itself? My knowledge of programming was small, I could not find it. And what about the image that suddenly appeared on my desktop? I was looking for it in a folder with wallpaper, then checked the computer on the subject of freshly swap files, and did not find anything. In the end, I calmed down and decided that the image was to be V.Dat - files and the game put it on the desktop as a draw. I did not worry about even impossible events, while I found a rational explanation. I decided to open the folder with the game; Maybe the re-launch of the game will give me answers to some questions. We open the folder, I immediately noticed: the application was renamed "it goes", and the names .dat - files were the phrase "go-now-now." I believed that it was part of the draw (the Japanese are not so rarely used by English). I ignored warnings and launched the game.

The game began as usual, I found myself in the main menu, where I found that the extra-level is no longer available, so I could not replay "fantasy". I looked through the options, instructions, but I did not find anything unusual. In the end, I decided to start a new game; Maybe I find out something. Once on the selection screen of the characters, I immediately tried to choose a raise, but sounded the sound of "impartial action", and so loud that the ears were hurt. So, Reima is not available. I tried to choose Marisa, but it was not even there - neither sprit from Marisi nor the description, only an empty place. I tried to play for a missing character, but I received only the same nasty sound.

I switched to Saku and tried to choose her - the same result. However, there was a fourth character - Mima. Boss "Fadness" and a playful character at the same time? Obviously, the hackers worked here, the mime that fights himself is stupid, and Zun would have to know it. In any case, play again for Mim even in the naked game should be great, and I decided to try. The first stage was the temple of Hakura, the enemies were ordinary fairies, none of them were even mime. Soundtrack is impossible to describe, the most ordinary soundtrack Touhou. After a few minutes of battle with faees, I met the first boss. I expected that they would be a raise, because it is her temple, but instead they met me Sitka. The dialogue was in Japanese, and I missed it. Sitka was very strong as for the first boss, but I passed it without problems.

When I broke the suiche, the dialogue did not appear. Instead, the mime moved forward and cut Suyku in half. I watched how her sprite disintegrates into two parts and slowly disappears in the background, leaving behind the pink spirit, like TH13. Mima took this spirit before leaving the screen over the top. Such a feeling that something evil "killed" suiche, but it was necessary to admit: the idea was very cool. What did this in the spirit took the mime? I have not received any extra life, nor part of it, as in TH13, the appointment of the Spirit was incomprehensible. I thought that the appointment could be explained later, and continued. I was surprised when a "victorious" screen appeared, similar to the screen from the classic Touhou games, depicting the mime on the background, but even more I was surprised that the hair of mime from green became black. What is the meaning of this change?

It annoyed me, since I liked the green color of her hair, but it was uncritically, and I continued. The second level was YakoMo house, and the enemies were fairies with cat ears. I easily break through the level and discovered the wounds as a boss. I did not notice this before, but I wounds (like Sinka to her) looked angry all the time conversation with the Miha, as if they hate her. In the games where they first appeared, the mime did not participate, so I could not understand why they were so angry.

I ignored the dialogue and began to kick the spirit from the Russian Academy of Sciences, which I never liked the fight was difficult, but not so much to make me nervous. When the battle end, I expected that the Mim would destroy the wounds as early as the Suich, but instead she shot in the Rounds of a giant laser beam, after which only the pink spirit remained from the RAS, which Mim immediately took. I was glad that they diversified the "finishing" of Mim, and moved to the victorious screen. The same screen as the first time, with glasses and with all the others, except one detail: the sprite mimes changed again, now its skin has become pale, whiter than skin of any other character.

What did they want to do, again changing the appearance of the mime? I was sure: I will get the answer to the question if I continue to play. Level 3 was called "The Gap" (in English). The level was a kind of dark place, everywhere there were hundreds of terrible red eyes, anxious music sounded. I was definitely in Yukari's portal. The enemies were evil eyes - eyeballs with wings, called me a strange sense of nostalgia, although I played games for PC-98 after Windows games.

The difficulty grown strongly, even for such an experienced player, like me, it would have to become a problem. What strangely, from all bullets and bullet patterns, I avoided without losing a single life and without having a single bomb. Finally I got to the third boss - Yukari. Yukari, which was always portrayed as ever calm and relaxed, was now clearly angry by Mim. What did Mima do it? I did not know, but my task was to defeat Yukari, and I started the fight. Yukari, as I expected, was really a difficult boss, some of her ladies looked just terribly and evasion demanded great skills.

Despite this, I won her without losing a single life, and I didn't even spend bombs. I thought that the level was held thanks to the combination of skills and luck (a lot of luck), but in my impeccable battle with Yukary was something not as if the game helped me shy. I was slightly worried, but then threw it out of my head, looking like a mime to finish Yukari, I release the pack of ghosts to it, while only the pink spirit remained. A winning screen appeared, and again the sprite and the view of the mime changed - her clothes turned into brown rags, and the hat disappeared. "It would be better for them to have a good explanation for why the Mim is changing" - I thought and moved to level 4.

The action again happened in the temple of Hakura, but he was completely destroyed, there were wrecks everywhere, some of them fell on top and could nail. The enemies were ghost fairies, such as those used Rin, only with the difference that they did not return. The difficulty was such that the hypothesis that the game helps me was even more believable. I paved the way to the boss - Reima. She was beside himself from rage and began to shout on Mima (which probably destroyed the temple after a fight with suico), but Mime, it seemed to do not care about the rais, she only smirked and waited until the Rime would stop yelling. The dialogue was in Japanese, I did not understand the plot, it remained only to enjoy the game. The fight with the raise was probably the most difficult in the history of Touhou, the bullet curtains were such that even Korean zadrot would surrender. But I still did not spend any lives nor bombs!

Now there was no doubt: the game exactly helped me shy away from the bullets. What for? Probably hackers wanted the player to accurately reach their game. Rime suffered the same fate as Marisa: Mim's staff pierced her belly. Another pink spirit left the body of Reim, and Mim, without losing time, took it. I expected another transformation of the appearance, but not like that. Mim's face distorted, the eyes turned into two big holes, and the mouth became a torsion smile. The chill ran through my back, when I saw what Ma became, and then the phrase appeared in English: "We are almost in place, keep up the good work!" I went so far, I wanted to see the whole game to the end.

As in Touhou 2, there were only 5 levels in this game. The last level was Makai, and to my surprise, there were no enemies there. Instead, bullets and lasers themselves came from everywhere, trying to kill me. It was so easy that even the help of the game I did not need. Very unimportant for the last level. I could easily get to the boss of the level - Skyli, the goddess Maka. Dialog began, I already wanted to miss it, but I understood: Sinkli spoke English. Deciding that the hackers thus wanted to embarrass Japanese players, I began to read now a clear dialogue. Gensoko (the world in which the Touhou series took place was destroyed and last that prevented the exit of mimes in the human world - the existence of Maka. I helped Mime and somehow destroyed Gensoko, this sudden news was slightly launched me. I did not understand how I did not understand how The murder of several bosses could destroy this world.
