And the fascists would have achieved their goal if they had not been stopped by our soldiers, our fathers, grandfathers and great-grandfathers. They saved us from a terrible fate. They saved the whole world. They gave the world seven decades of a calm, peaceful life, made it possible for every person to remain human. In Europe, this is practically forgotten. There is no memory or gratitude left for our soldiers, who gave the most precious thing they had - their lives, so that those doomed to humiliation and death could become free. But we must not forget about it. Never. To remain human.

Monument to the Soldier-Liberator
