BAKU, May 18 - Sputnik. Three months later, the III World Nomad Games will start - a large-scale international project born in Kyrgyzstan. During the video conference of the Sputnik Kyrgyzstan news agency, officials and diplomats told how the country is preparing for this event.

"Kyrgyzstan initiated the Nomad Games in 2012. It was a world-class initiative. We can safely say that the Games are the country's largest project. We pay a lot of attention to it and expect that twice as many countries will take part in these Games as in the previous ones. ", - said the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Russia Bolot Otunbayev.

He admitted to reporters that a team from neighboring Kazakhstan is waiting for the Games with special impatience. The most uncompromising fights in the kok-bor competition have been taking place between the teams of hosts and guests from Kazakhstan for two years in a row. The team of Kyrgyzstan won the previous games, beating the Kazakhs in the final. At the World Championship at home, the Kazakhs won back. Now the teams will again measure their strength.

"Kazakhstan always sends a large delegation. We are neighboring countries, we have similar traditions, culture and language. I think Kazakhstan will take an active part in the third Games," Otunbayev said.

By the way, UNESCO included kok-boru, also known as goat-breeding, in the list of the intangible cultural heritage of mankind. In Kyrgyzstan, it is believed that the Nomad Games, which popularized the game, contributed to this.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism of Kyrgyzstan Ainura Temirbekova said that the organizers are preparing a special show for the Games with the participation of stuntmen and horse riding masters.

"We want to show the world the image of a nomad - a person and word, and deed, strong-willed and enlightened. We want to tell about his life, attitude to nature, family. The horse and rider are the basis of nomadic culture, and we want to show this centuries-old history in action." , - said Temirbekova.

The names of the best will be entered into a specially prepared "Book of Great Winners" and will be awarded the honorary titles of "great fighter," great archer ", as well as" great player in kok-boru "(both the rider and his horse will be awarded in this nomination). will amount to 28 million soms (about 400 thousand dollars).

Tourists will be introduced to the traditions and customs of nomadic peoples. Thousands of yurts will appear around a specially built sports complex in Cholpon-Ata, each participating country will show its traditional crafts.

The competition will be covered by 30 publications from different countries; world stars of sports and show business will be invited to visit. The names of celebrities are still kept secret, but the previous games were remembered for the spectacular appearance of the American actor Steven Seagal on horseback.

For the safety of guests and participants, the authorities will take unprecedented security measures. On the territory where competitions and ethnofestivals are held, it will be possible to move only on special buses. During the Games, the republic's Ministry of Internal Affairs will withdraw weapons from the population - the Asian Olympics is an international event, where safety is paramount.

The competition will take place on September 2-8 on the coast of Issyk-Kul. This year, more than 3000 athletes from 80 countries of the world will compete with each other. The program of the games includes 37 national sports - archery, falconry and hound hunting, oriental board games, horse racing, goats. Women at the Games will represent not only ethnic fashion and ethnic cuisine, they will compete, for example, in archery.

The World Nomad Games, a unique analogue of the Olympics, were first held in 2014 on the shores of Lake Issyk-Kul. Teams from Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Russia took part in the first games. 600 athletes, including 230 horsemen, gathered to revive the traditions of nomads.

The program of the II World Games turned out to be much broader - athletes from 55 countries gathered on the shores of Issyk-Kul. The second Games were also remembered for the fact that at their opening of the second 1000 komuz players played one melody together, thanks to which they got into the Guinness Book of Records.

Turkish President Recep Erdogan and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, two "headaches" of the EU, found themselves on the banks of Issyk-Kul in honor of the opening of the Third World Nomad Games.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban made headlines in the world press last week during his visit to Italy. On Tuesday in Milan, he met with Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini, finding in him a like-minded person who shares his views on illegal migrants.

According to both politicians, Europe should not accept migrants at all. Hungary refused to participate in the distribution of "asylum seekers" initiated by the EU, and closed its borders to the flow of refugees from the Middle East, Africa and Afghanistan.

Orban called Salvini a "hero" for not allowing a boatload of refugees to land on the coast of Italy until the EU agreed to resettle them to other countries.

Salvini, in turn, said that this is his first meeting with Orban, but they will continue to "change the fate of Europe."

American CNN called the emerging alliance between Hungary and Italy a "Trojan horse" for the European Union. The company's journalists believe that the EU reintegration processes will continue, as in Europe the voices of right-wing politicians are increasingly strengthening, putting nationalist interests above obligations to the EU.

From Milan to Issyk-Kul

Already at the end of the week, on September 2, Viktor Orban was in another part of the world - in Kyrgyzstan - at the opening ceremony of the Third World Nomad Games, and he was accompanied by another no less tough world politician - Turkish President Recep Erdogan.

In the European press, the participation of both leaders at one event, moreover in Kyrgyzstan, was interpreted as another confirmation of the authoritarianism and nationalism of politicians who find suitable companies for themselves and a reason to meet.

In Kyrgyzstan, at least officially, the arrival of Erdogan and Orban was perceived as a recognition of the country and the World Nomad Games, which have been taking place on the shores of Issyk-Kul since 2012.

President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov in his speech noted with great enthusiasm the arrival of distinguished guests.

“We are grateful to the President of the fraternal Turkish Republic who came to us from afar - the distinguished Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan,” Jeenbekov said. “I note with gratitude that our honorary guest from Europe, the Prime Minister of our friendly Hungary, dear Viktor Orban, is also taking part in today's ceremony.”

Jeenbekov also noted with gratitude the arrival of the permanent President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

The opening ceremony of the ethno-olympiad at the hippodrome of the city of Cholpon-Ata broke all records this year. One and a half thousand artists were involved in the grand show: drama theater actors, circus performers, stuntmen, singers and musicians.

More than ten thousand people watched the ceremony from the stands. The show on TV this year could be watched by viewers of 50 different channels with a total audience of 1.5 billion people.

The theatrical show was divided into nine large episodes. The first ones told about the history of nomadic peoples, about the traditions and customs of the Kyrgyz, demonstrating the rich cultural and historical heritage.

The audience saw the skill of horse riding, the play of half a thousand musicians on the national lip instrument temir-komuz, scenes from "Manas" - the world's largest oral epic, accompanied by a polyphonic performance of this work by a thousand storytellers.

The following episodes smoothly transferred the guests to the works of the great Kyrgyz writer Chingiz Aitmatov: scenes from his stories and novels were played.

The show was continued by the parade of participants, which this year stretched for several kilometers.

"Thanks to successful cooperation with the WIC secretariat, more than 5 thousand children and their parents were able to learn more about the traditions of nomads and play national games. UNICEF calls for paying as much attention to children as possible, especially at an early age. The more love and care parents and others give children family members, the more often they play with them, the more intensive their physical, mental, emotional and social development takes place, "said the head of the representative office, Yukie Mokuo.

Deputy Head of the VIC Secretariat Aizhan Abdesova noted that the games are an excellent opportunity to revive the culture of nomads.
