For which they give distinctive marks wot. New game achievement - marks on gun barrels

 • 15.02.2021

Description

At one time, Wargaming introduced into the World of Tanks game another indicator that is a reason for pride and a desire to compete with friends and the tank community - distinctive marks on tank guns. These marks allow you to quickly determine how well allies or opponents are able to play on the machine with which they entered a particular battle. And these marks, in contrast to the percentage of victories, depend directly only on the player's skills, his knowledge of the game and shooting accuracy.

All marks have three skill levels, the damage and illumination damage requirements for which change depending on how other players have been playing this machine recently. Submitted by mod "Percentage of marks on the barrels of guns in battle" for World of Tanks 1.7.1.2 allows you to see not only percentage indicators, but also clear damage figures when viewing the vehicle statistics menu, and also displays directly in battle whether you have reached the required minimum to raise your percentage on the way to the next mark, or, on the contrary, moved away from it.

In addition, in the latest updates of this modification, it was adapted to the current version of the game client, the formula for calculating the amount of damage required to get a mark when viewed in achievements was changed, the indicator is now rounded up only for non-received percentages. It is also now possible to choose the style of displaying the modification in battle - a simplified or extended version. To change the display position of the panel, use the keyboard shortcut CTRL + Right Mouse Button.

The fashions we deserve! Recently, they have been actively asking for this mod, and nowhere is it in popular assemblies, we decided to tell you about this interesting development.

Global modification of the progress of marks in battle and hangar by Spoter.

The dynamic progress of getting a mark in battle, in the hangar you can see the average damage required to get a mark.
The calculation takes into account such data as: (damage + assist - timdamag), where the assist is the largest figure from the spotlight, harp assist and stun. The first tank battle in a session is always inaccurate.

Full and complete description and additional information:

For many, the information on how the marks are calculated is covered in darkness and is not clear, for a small group of the elite, some information is known, often incomplete and inaccurate, but even this is enough to get the coveted 3 marks on all tanks. Now it has become easier to find out the necessary numbers without complicated calculations and fuzzy rules ...
The mod is divided into how many large parts, each of which will show interesting and often important information for understanding how the marks are taken and what is needed for this.

1. Development trees:
will show the current percentage of the mark on the tank and tint with the color which mark is taken (yellow: no mark, green: 1 mark, turquoise: 2 and the desired 3 marks: purple).
for those who do not have the XVM mod, it will also show the Mastery icon on the tank.

2. Achievements of players on a specific tank:
You can see on each tank from level 5 the approximate amount of damage to take the required percentage of the mark (65%, 85%, 95%, 100%)
Do the same, but also for other players, not only for yourself.
The figures are approximate due to the peculiarity of calculating the total damage for the mark (there is data only for the last battle on the tank, the figure is revised every day automatically on the WOT server).
For the most correct data, you should look into the Hall of Fame for a specific tank for the last month and see the marks of the TOP-3 players.

3. Dynamic progress in battle:
In battle, a simple information window will be available, which, by the way, can be dragged across the screen to any convenient place

_____________________________
3.1 (Simplified version).
- 2 digits of percent will be shown. Colored - this is the% progress of the mark in the current battle - it changes depending on the player's actions and the second white number of the% mark before the battle (what you saw in the hangar before the battle);
- The numbers% of the progress of the mark change color:
Red - the mark will drop if at this moment you leave the battle or your tank is destroyed
Green - the mark will grow after the battle
Lilac - there is not enough data for calculations, you need to spend 1-2 battles on this tank for the mod to regenerate the values and calculate more or less accurately
- The mod cannot calculate damage to invisible opponents (blinds), respectively, the figure will be shown less than we get at the end of the battle
- The mod is mistaken in hundredths of a% mark when calculating, these are the features of rounding off the data received in the hangar before the battle
- When crossing the border, for example, from 84.9% to 85.1%, there will be a high scatter when calculating data from 85.0%, this is due to the equalization coefficient in the calculation formulas. You need to spend 1-2 battles to regenerate the calculations by the mod.

3.2 (Extended version).
- Additional information on the damage that counts towards the score will also be shown.
the first line of colored numbers in [brackets] - damage + assist - team damage, this data affects the final percentage of the mark.
the second line is white numbers in [brackets] - the damage that must be inflicted in battle in order to keep the mark that was before the start of the battle.
line of purple numbers in [brackets] - damage that must be inflicted in battle in order to get + 1% to the mark that was before the start of the battle.
For example: it was 87.17% before the start of the battle, to get 88.17% you need to inflict huge, purple damage in the current battle.

** For many, even very experienced extras, there are unknown life hacks about the growth of the mark in battle:

Do not damage allies, the mark falls from this;
- it is not necessary to mix different types of damage for an assist (lightning, suppressing, stunning) only one number will still go to the mark, the maximum of all three!
Example: A player dealt 4000 damage, shone 2000 damage, infused 1300 damage, stunned for 200 damage, and killed an ally for 3000 damage.

The following figure will be used in the calculation of the mark: 4000 + 2000-3000 = 3000

Although many people mistakenly think that there should be 4000 + 2000 + 1300 + 200-3000 = 4500
And this is not true (!), But don't worry, the mod will calculate everything for you, you just have to play.
It's a nice feeling when your team is merged, your tank is destroyed, but the mod shows a nice green number. So it's not in vain, the mark has grown!

Starting with Update 0.9.1, players who have achieved the best indicators in terms of damage dealt can apply special marks of tank aces to their vehicles.

Starting from version 0.9.1, a new type of achievement has appeared in the game - distinctive marks on the barrels of guns. Historically, such marks reflected the number of destroyed enemy equipment - the only possible indicator of the effectiveness of the crew of a combat vehicle in reality. However, in the conditions of hostilities, tanks were used en masse, often with the participation of other types of troops, so in most cases it was very difficult to determine whose shot destroyed the target. This was the key reason why the marks were not widely used.

In the game, the destruction of an enemy tank is also not always an objective indicator. Agree: dealing with a heavy tank alone and finishing off an enemy with one shot durability is not the same thing.

The most objective indicators of a player's personal performance are average experience and average damage on the tank. Experience per battle is already taken into account for awarding class badges, and high average damage will be encouraged using marks on the gun barrel: the higher the player's score compared to the results of other owners of the same tank, the higher the degree of achievement and the more marks on the barrel.

Intelligence damage is also taken into account, which makes the achievement also available for light tanks, which are not so much for dealing damage as for detecting targets for allies.

I would like to dwell in more detail on such a component of the calculation of marks as damage per assist. This can be damage by intelligence or damage by knocking down a caterpillar. In short, the formula is - (player damage per battle) + (maximum damage for knocking down a caterpillar or for spotting) - (damage done to allies during a battle). Those. the maximum damage for knocking down a caterpillar is taken into account or for the light, and not the sum of these values. This applies to tanks and tank destroyers.
Regarding the SPG, a little bit needs to be added - the stun will be counted as damage due to spotting / knocking down a caterpillar. Those. in this case, the highest indicator will be chosen from three, and not from two, as in conventional tanks. This is indirectly written in patch note 9.19.1 "Damage inflicted by allies with the help of artillery against a stunned enemy now counts towards the distinguishing marks on the gun. Now this damage is also taken into account, as well as damage to a downed caterpillar or damage from intelligence, as well as damage inflicted directly on the enemy vehicle. "

Accounting is kept separately for each tank since the release of version 0.9.1. Battles prior to this update are not counted: this is necessary to create a level playing field for all players. Damage statistics are collected daily so that any changes in the game are taken into account.

The results are calculated for the last series of battles on a tank, and not for all battles, which allows you to quickly track the player's progress.

Attention! The calculation of statistics and the assignment of marks are valid only for vehicles of Tier V or higher in random battles. Team, company, clan and historical battles do not affect the receipt of marks!

Historically, marks have been an attribute of tank aces, so getting them is not very easy. For example, to get an initial level and one mark, a player must get into the top 35% on the same tank; the second level of achievement (two marks) is assigned to the best 15% of the players, and the highest (three marks) is assigned to the best 5% of the players. The appearance of the marks has been recreated according to historical prototypes.

In addition to the marks for aces, all players receive a rating, which, unlike the asterisk on the barrel of the WoT and other abstract assessments, directly reflects the player's efficiency on a particular tank in terms of the main indicator of personal skill - damage done and assistance in inflicting damage to the enemy.

The indicator is displayed for each tank in the "Achievements"> "Technique"> "Rewards" section in an explicit form: "Your damage indicator is better than N% of players on the same tank."

The more stable the player deals damage, the fewer battles are required to calculate his personal indicator. On average, it can take from 50 to 100 or more fights to award the highest degree of achievement, which goes to the mark on the barrel.

The received marks and asterisks on the muzzle in WoT are credited to the tank forever and cannot be downgraded or taken away. Taking into account statistics for a series of battles and a large step of the indicator for subsequent degrees guarantees the absence of accidental success. Players can optionally disable the display of marks on their tank both for themselves and for other players, but other people's marks will be displayed at the same time.

In battles, you can see tanks with markings on their guns. These marks indicate the player's professionalism in combat effectiveness on a particular vehicle.

How to get marks

The mark is given for the average damage done on the tank. At the same time, statistics are constantly being kept of all players who play a certain technique for a period of 7 days. The situation is similar to the badges of excellence, only there is calculated the average net experience of a player on a particular machine. Light tanks can earn marks by spotting enemy vehicles and damaging them by allies.

Statistics are taken for 1 week, based on which the player receives the corresponding sign on the gun barrel.

There is a certain coefficient that determines the merits of each player:

 • 1 mark - average damage more than 65% of players;
 • 2 mark - average damage more than 85% of players;
 • 3 mark - average damage more than 95% of players.

Today, you can monitor the marks in 2 ways:

 1. Player's in-game statistics by marks.

To see the statistics in the game, you need to go to the "achievements" tab, which is located at the top of the screen.

Achievements will include a "technique" item.

After going through the tab, a list of all tanks that the user has played will be displayed. To find out the statistics of a particular tank, you need to click on it. On the right, there will be a subheading “awards”.

A window with achievements will open. The upper part will show the trunk and the current marks on it. If there are no marks, then it will be blocked.

By hovering the mouse cursor over the image, the current player statistics will be displayed.

Now that you know how to check your progress against grades, you can often follow the changes.

The second option is one that will indicate the progress next to the icon of each tank.

Recent mods depict progress in combat. In addition, the value that must be achieved during the battle is shown in order for the coefficient to increase. Changing the color of the numbers means the following:

 • red - the coefficient is decreasing;
 • green - the coefficient remains in place or increases slightly;
 • violet - the coefficient increases significantly.

The mod is very useful because the player will always know how much damage he needs to deal in order to increase the overall percentage.

How to deal a lot of damage

To earn marks on the barrel, you need to deal a lot of damage each fight. If there are practically no problems with getting 1 mark, then you need to try with 2, but 3 mark can often be obtained only with sufficient experience in the game. It also depends on how well the tankers played on a particular tank. The easiest way to get marks is on those tanks that are not very popular in the game.

Before choosing a tank for marks, you need to understand its popularity.

For example, most of all can be seen in battles. This means that it will not be easy to get a high grade in this technique. Since the goal is only to inflict damage, you need to act as fire support for allies. The most important thing is not to be destroyed at the beginning of the battle, otherwise the coefficient will significantly decrease. You always need to remember the grade and look at the value, so you need to play carefully to achieve the desired result. In case of confronting more difficult opponents, it is not prohibited to use premium shells.
