  5. We take into account that the unfolded cube should be on the right side, in the figure it is marked with arrows (cube pv). There are several ways to assemble a puzzle, but one of the most memorable is the one developed by Jessica Friedrich, a professor at the University of Binghamton, New York, who develops techniques for hiding data in digital images. The task is to turn the middle cubes of the upper layer with the color we need upwards. Tip: If you see yellow on top, but it is out of place or is incorrectly oriented relative to the center, change its position by simply replacing it with another particle.


The edge will stand in the position described earlier, using the diagram, it will fall into place.

This must be done for each of the yellow cubes, in the end you get a cross.

Upper edge

After you have folded the cross, you can start assembling the top completely. You need to put the corners in place.

If you put them the way you want, nothing will work - everyone has their place. This is determined by the colors of which it is composed.

Do not forget that any actions performed will need to be repeated 4 times for all angles.

  1. Place the cube in its original position, as in the previous time
  2. Try to find the corner in the lower layer where there will be a yellow square, stop your attention on a few colors on it
  3. Turn the bottom, the corner should be under its place
  4. You can choose one of several solutions: yellow left, right and bottom

Moving on to the next face, don't forget about the central elements. They are fixed in place, so you need to swap them and think about how best to place them.

We repeat all actions, as before, 4 times.

  1. This time you need to take the cube with a white layer upwards, at the bottom you get a yellow one, already assembled.
  2. Find in the top layer the edges without white on both sides.
  3. Scroll up in this way until the edge and center colors match perfectly, it looks a lot like an inverted T.
  4. Choose one of the examples provided, your decision should depend on whether the edge is placed on the left or right. Here are the options to choose from: the edge is moved to the right or the edge is moved to the left.

If you couldn't find elements in the layer without white on either side, it means that they are in the middle.

To correct this situation, rotate the other edge from the top layer into its place. You can continue your work by following the instructions.

Collecting the second cross

Now that we have assembled 2 layers of the cube, let's try to make the 4 extreme elements of the top white.

You need to focus exclusively on the edge particles, avoiding the corners.

It all depends on whether they are close or opposite: adjacent edges, opposite edges are white, not a single snow-white square is right.

If you try to fold the cross using one of the above methods, then if there is not a single light square at the top, the result is: 2 ready-made squares.

The second cross is ready. To color-match the sides of the center, repeat the steps in section 5.

Rotate the top of the cube until the two edges match in color with the center. The second cross is in place.

Placement of corners
