The choice of weapons and items in Dragon Age: Origins is very large, despite the lack of the usual crafting system. It is successfully replaced by ready-made sets of armor and piece pieces of weapons. Among ordinary things, sometimes there are unique ones, which most often have increased characteristics. separate pages in the Codex with stories of their origin are dedicated. Weapons and armor are sold by merchants in various parts of the world - Denerim, Orzammar, Lake Calenhad and Breciliana. The cost of things varies depending on the value. The most valuable pieces can cost several dozen gold coins, but all the costs are well worth it. High-quality weapons with special effects allow you to resist strong opponents.

Weapons can be stored in the chest at Soldier's Peak after installing and passing the Guardian Keep. Over time, an understanding comes which weapon deserves attention, and which is just ordinary rubbish that can be used for the time being, for lack of a better one. Each character in the squad is allowed to have two sets of weapons - the main one and the spare one. The set is selected by pressing the [/] key.

Today in the world computer games there are only a few projects that are incredibly successful. Series such as The elder Scrolls or Mass effect, are known even to those users who are not very fond of this genre. Also worth highlighting is the Dragon Age series, which offers gamers the deepest immersion in a superbly crafted game world... In it you will find a wide variety of enemies and allies with unusual abilities, as well as various sets of armor, weapons and other items that you can use in the future. In this article it will be about what kind of armor is in Dragon Age, using the example of popular game series - Origins.

Light armor

Naturally, your character can play the whole game in a shirt or in a robe, if he chooses the path of a magician. However, in most cases, heroes need armor in Dragon Age. And even if you are not going to make a warrior out of your character, at least a light kit may be useful to you, since it will be able to protect you from small damage, will not hamper your movements, and will also allow you not to invest in unnecessary characteristics, because in order to put on heavy ones armor, you need to pump strength. And why do you need high indicators of strength for a magician or archer? In this game, the best leather armor Wade's dragon skin armor is considered. They are capable of reflecting almost thirteen points of damage, while giving you good resistance to fire. And if they are, moreover, excellent, then stability is doubled, and you also get additional units of agility. Note, however, that in Dragon Age, armor is not limited to what the original version of the game offers you: the Awakening add-on, for example, adds new armor sets to the game.

Light armor in "Awakening"

This add-on adds several light armor at once - in Dragon Age, armor is so diverse, but in this case you get access to much more powerful samples. For example, you can get Blackblade armor, which gives your character a huge variety of bonuses, while providing protection much more solidly than ordinary, even the best light armor. Accordingly, it is recommended to install the "Awakening" add-on, since in this case you can get more pleasure from the search, as well as from the use of various options for armor. In Dragon Age: Inquisition, armor is not so diverse, but this episode of the game was released very recently, so you can expect additions in the near future that will expand your options.

Medium armor

In Dragon Age, the best armor is the one that fits your character perfectly. After all, each of the types has its own special characteristics, so an armor that has only one, but very important bonus for you, may turn out to be better for you than another armor, which will have a dozen bonuses that are useless for your hero. For example, if we talk about medium armor, then in fact, they provide only actual protection, since their bonus is a small minus to fatigue. But here the ancient elven armor, although it has a lower indicator of protection, but at the same time adds to your hero and agility, and constitution, and resistance to magic, and a chance to reflect an attacking spell. In general, the choice must be made wisely. Naturally, there are armor mods in Dragon Age: Origins that can add even more options to the game, but still it is worth considering the classic samples, as well as those that appear when installing the official add-on.

Medium armor in "Awakening"

In Dragon Age: Inquisition is the best armor is naturally among the original options. However, if we talk about Origins, then here the models from the add-on still have an advantage over the original ones - in most cases they have better defense indicators, as well as a broader impact of bonuses. For example, take one of the best examples of medium armor from the expansion - Legionnaire Scout Armor. She has almost 18 units of protection, but at the same time she also adds points of agility, stamina and attack to your character. It is also worth noting that this armor reduces the character's resistance to cold due to the fact that, in parallel, it increases the resistance to fire. This is a fairly high-quality armor in Dragon Age - the armor of the gray guards, of course, is much more impressive, but you can hardly find better among medium sets.

Heavy armor

If we talk about heavy armor, then here you definitely need to pay attention to ceremonial armor, since it guarantees you a fairly high level of protection. But that's not all - you will also receive a number of bonuses from use, and there will be only one negative among them - the loss of three defense points. But you will get psychological resistance to spells, and also increase the chances of repelling an attack from a long distance.

Heavy armor in "Awakening"

Installing the "Awakening" add-on guarantees a gamer who has chosen the path of a warrior or any other class using heavy armor, a very good addition to the armor collection. The fact is that you will have access to the Stormbringer armor, which is considered one of the most powerful in the game. Its defense rate is almost twice that of the ceremonial armor, which were described earlier. But if that armor gave you only a couple of bonuses and even imposed one penalty, then in this case everything is much more impressive. You get an increase in armor, dexterity, defense, and also greatly increase your resistance to electricity spells. Moreover, when wearing this armor, your stamina in battle is restored much faster. As you can see, this armor can bring you a lot of benefits on the battlefield, so you should definitely find it in the Tower of the Vigil of the Turnobble estate.

Massive armor

Most role-playing games the armor ends in heavy, but in Dragon Age things are a little different. The fact is that there is another section here, which is called "massive armor". These are the heaviest and most powerful specimens that require an incredibly high indicator of strength, but also protect you from an impressive amount of damage. For example, the armor of the Legion of the Dead has a defense rate of almost 32 points - in comparison, the previous armor, which is one of the most powerful in the game, has only about 27 points. But such a defense indicator does not remain "naked", that is, you also receive several bonuses. Among them, an increase in and to the indicators of protection, and when collecting a full set of armor - also a decrease in the level of fatigue, which is very important in the case of massive armor.

Massive armor from "Awakening"

Well, it's time to tell you about the most powerful armor in the game. As you may have already understood, to access it you will need the "Awakening" add-on - once you install it, you will have two options for obtaining this armor. You can kill the First in the Shadow of the Black Marshes quest, and you can also get him in the chest after the Holes in the Veil quest. Why is this armor so good? First of all, it has the maximum protection index among all other types of armor - 39 units. It has three holes for inserting enchanted stones, but even without them, this armor guarantees you strong bonuses. You will receive an increase in constitution, health will regenerate faster in battle, you will also have an increase in almost all primary and secondary skills, you will get a chance to dodge projectiles fired from a distance, as well as a certain level of resistance and an increase in the chance of critical damage. This is the kind of armor you can get in the game, and then you definitely won't need other models.

Armor Mods

As you can see, this game has an incredibly huge variety different armor... However, gamers create modifications that allow you to expand your range even further. Naturally, these are unofficial mods, so you can safely ignore them if you have enough armor already. However, for example, in the case of Dragon Age 2, armor mods may come in handy, since there are not as many types as in Origins.

Somehow, walking through the abyss of the Internet, I discovered a large mod site, and I wanted to offer you a selection I liked.

By agreement with the site administration, I provide links to the mod pages, and not to them. To download these improvements, do not be lazy to spend five minutes and register)))
