Well, of course, the higher the level of the delivered resource (the later it is open) and the city, the higher the income for delivery. Naturally, the game is structured in such a way that it is possible to deliver the required level of resources only by coordinating the general actions of the city's players, that is, when playing as a team.

In the final, everything practically repeats itself, only in it you need to start all 48 resources and do it first among all the cities that made it to the final (10 best cities out of 50 existing ones).

I returned to the game at its second turning point, before changing the passenger payment system at the end of 2016, having managed to play a round with the old passenger system and playing a round with new system passengers now. Before the introduction of passengers team play was at the highest level and really meant a lot. Well-oiled actions of the team made it possible to pass 2, and in the rarest cases, three levels of the city per day. The fact is that to increase the level of the city, it was required to have only 4 resources and this could be done in several ways.

Each resource comes from dedicated production. For each of the 50 cities, there may be one, less often two, very rarely three. Production facilities have the concept of "loading" - this is the waiting time for a train to load in production. It increases with the growth of the number of people who carry the given resource and falls along with the "growth" of the level of production. The level of production depends on the total amount and rate of export of the resource over the entire lifetime of the server. For those unfamiliar with the game, this is all a little confusing, but it's actually simple. When a production just opens or is not used at all, it ships the goods instantly (waiting time 0 seconds) and is not subject to secondary loading factors, but if all players in the city (25+ people) start delivery from it, then the waiting time can increase to 5-10 minutes depending on secondary factors. The recalculation of the shipment time occurs once an hour, in the next hour it changes slightly (only from changes in secondary factors).

This mathematics and the presence of several industries of the same type made it possible to make several transitions of the city from level to level of the city in a few hours or per day. The process was relatively simple:

First, the team got up on the up (transition of the city from level to level) of the city and imported the first four resources. Thus, one old resource disappeared and a new one appeared, the waiting time for which was 0 seconds. This is the so-called "golden hour" in the new production, when due to the short waiting time it was possible to get super profits. This is how the best teams in Rail Nation were formed.

It may seem that all this is somewhat far-fetched, but the top 10 cities out of 50 get to the final and one of the final tactics is to start from the last place. At the same time, the start of the final begins a few hours later, but the warehouses of the city turn out to be less than the warehouses of other participants, which gives an advantage at the subsequent distance. Therefore, there has always been a struggle for the lowest level of the city upon reaching the final, that is, for the 10th place. In the same way, the last-ranked contenders could have been knocked out of the finals, but these are subtle features of the game's strategy. And here we are talking only about the final of the game, and there are also weekly competitions of cities, in which it is more profitable to take part with a low level of the city and a high level of production than with a city that has just passed to a new level.
