Dark souls 3 goty walkthrough. High Overlord Volnir

 • 16.01.2021

Start. Ash Cemetery.

The game is completely linear, but there are branches here and there. Where we find it, we'll tell you about it.

So, let's run forward. Immediately to the right, there will be a turn to the right and back. A small supply of souls awaits us there. We run out and run further along the corridor, simultaneously destroying weak zombies. We run to a small area with destroyed skeletons of houses. There will be a turn to the right again, there, too, it will be possible to profit from the supply of the soul, then a hefty glass-frosty porcupine will guard it. It is absolutely impossible to defeat him, because he kills with one blow, and even pumps his own life. Therefore, as we can quietly sneak, if possible, turn on the stealth mode.

We return to the site, having escaped from the awakened porcupine (it will catch up with you for a long time). We run a little in the center and to the right. Now we have a cliff to the right, and a rock to the left. Run along the corridor to the first turn to the left, there you will see a sarcophagus with a supply of soul. On the eleventh attempt, try jumping onto it.

Then go along the only path where the crossbowman will be waiting for you (you need to roll up in front of him, he will miss). Before that, go back a little. To the right of your path there will be another path with two zombies. To get on it, run back a little, and you will see a spiral turn down (beyond the cliff). There will be two zombies. Kill and take a set and 5 bombs. You will need it. We run into the arena, take out the sword from the giant. This is the first boss.

Judge Gundir.

Everything is very difficult. The main thing is the rolls and, if you can, constantly keep from his back. Naturally, activate auto aim. If you pass on the keyboard, then these will be the Q keys or the center mouse button. Keeping your distance with the boss is pointless: his huge sword reaches everywhere. Even there, if it seems to you that you will not be hooked, the game will do so that it will. The first time you kill the boss will not work, but from the tenth time - completely. Don't try too hard to block his hits with your shield. Nothing good will come of it. The main thing is to roll in such a way as to be behind him, and it does not matter in which direction you roll, even towards him, the main thing is to do this at the moment when he has already swung and brings down the weapon at you. As soon as the boss mutates, he will become an easy target - finish off, take the sword from him (it will need to be stuck in the central circle of the Temple of Fire, and move on.

Fire Temple.

So far, everything is linear here: run to the right along the corridor, kill enemies, run into the Temple. The Deserter will be sitting on the right steps. Talk to him, he will give you a statuette called Collapse. Now you can hit him and run back to the passage. The deserter is a strong opponent, but he cannot run out of the temple. He will get stuck on the stairs, against an invisible wall. Kill him as you can, but at the same time be prepared that he will drink estus three times, but having fixed him on the threshold of the temple, you must deal with him. Now head back to the temple.

As soon as we ran into the temple, we go up the steps, run along the corridor and turn right. We run out onto the site, go up the stairs to the left, still to the left, and we rest against a tree and a tiled roof of the house. There will be a set of 5 return bones on the left. We need to jump in there. You will most likely be able to do it on the 30th try, but maybe even earlier. To do this, you need to understand the settings where you have a jump, and where you roll. By default, in the settings, this is one key. We managed to jump only when the jump became a separate key, and the jump only works in running. You need to run into a tree, making a step as if on it, and then try to jump onto the roof. It will look like this:

We run around the roof and turn right. We run to the center of the crossed parapet, located under the roof arch. We listen to the cat, and leave one of the bombs raised earlier to eat. We take a nearby highlighted good, return to the bomb, which has become a piece of titanite, pick it up, and then run to the wall against which the left parapet rests, jump into it, and find ourselves in a secret location. We run to the end along the beams, jump down and on the right in the chest we take the Greedy Serpent's Silver Ring, which increases the number of souls received. Then we jump down, not forgetting to turn on the "soft landing", talk to the NPC, and go to the central circle. Here we can go to travel to the next location, High Wall of Lothric, or you can run to the tower by running out of the Temple and turning left. The tower will be guarded by a naked samurai with a sword, which will have to be fought in close quarters, so it will be a very difficult opponent, more abruptly than the Deserter. Further behind him, if you manage to defeat him, there will be an entrance to the fortress, the key from which must be bought from a merchant in the temple. The key costs as much as 20,000 souls, which you definitely don't have at this stage. So, we return to the fire and go to the High Wall of Lothric.

As we progress through Dark Souls 3, we will add links to new parts here.

: What and where do you need to find to get into the final expansion for Dark Souls 3 called "The Ringed City"?

"The Ringed City" is the last, final expansion of the two planned for Dark Souls 3. As usual, you will not be able to play the DLC or, in other words, activate the expansion in the main menu, because the "entrance" is in a certain location. This suggests that before starting the passage of the final expansion, you must first master a certain part of the main game.

How to get to a new location?

This time, you won't have to look for new NPCs to access the add-on. To activate the add-on and in order to be transported to a new location - just touch one of the two bonfires.

Firstly, if you do not have a previous add-on called "Ashes of Ariandel" or it remains uncompleted, then the entry point to the new location will be located in the area called "Kiln of the First Flame", near the main bonfire in this location.

Secondly, if the "Ashes of Ariandel" expansion was completed, then another bonfire will appear near the fire that remained after Sister Friede - it is he who takes your character into the new final expansion.

: Note also that the specifics of the "entry" points in addition are located for a reason. The fact is that the new addition will really test your strength, so I highly discourage untrained undead hunters from embarking on a new journey. The bottom line is that the new addition is intended for heroes and heroines of level 100 or higher.

Location: "Garbage Pile" (All Secrets)

: Complete walkthrough of the "Garbage Pile" location in the latest addition "The Ringed City" for the original game Dark Souls 3. The location of all secrets, collectibles, all enemies in the location, useful tips and tactics for passing.

Dreg Heap is an isolated location from the rest of the world of Dark Souls 3 that appeared in the game with the release of the latest planned expansion, The Ringed City. If you do not know how to get to this place, then I recommend that you read the article a little higher.

This guide will help you find all the useful items in Dark Souls 3: The Ringed City, will help you defeat all the most difficult and dangerous enemies. In the end, it will help you not to get lost among the tangled paths of the location.

... Path: Ashes and the Assassin Angel

As soon as you find yourself in a brand new location, first of all, as usual, light a fire and leave the building. Once you complete these simple steps, go further along the edge of the gabled roof on the right side of the character and eventually you can find "Ember". But that's not all: at the very edge of the cliff, there will be a merchant named "Karga with a stone coffin" nearby. This old lady will sell a couple of blessings and a Splitleaf Crearsword. In the end, she will also be able to sell all the trash you accumulated, which I strongly recommend to do.

So, having talked a lot with this Karga, go down the kind of stairs (which consists of ledges) down. And pay your attention to the fact that when you land on ash-covered soil, your character will not receive damage. This is a very important point, because this fact will come in handy more than once in the course of the game.

A little further you will find a fork and the first meeting with new enemies - the "Dwellers of the Deep" (Murkman). These enemies are more reminiscent of Irithyll slaves. In addition, this type of enemies is divided into two types: the first type is those that crawl and at the same time skillfully wield sickles; the second type is upright enemies with staves in their hands. Moreover, the first type of inhabitants of the Depths can easily crush your character with their number, or simply grab him, unless, of course, get rid of them in time. The latter stand out from the rest in that they use long-range magic. In addition, both variants have a predisposition to transformations, so they can take on a shape that resembles a living projectile. However, it is quite easy to dodge this projectile, because its speed is too low. And yet, first of all, you should always kill just the sorcerers, because only they can summon these very crawling inhabitants of the Depths, and they can do it absolutely endlessly.

Before moving on (that is, along the road that leads to the right), I strongly recommend that you look into that part of the castle, which is on the left hand of the hero. So, to meet the hero / heroine, a quite impressive-looking enemy called the "Harald Legion Soldier" will jump down. He is also intimidating for the reason that instead of his usual face he has a gaping black hole. How to defeat Legionnaire Harald? First of all, try to keep a respectful distance from him so as not to get hit by the powerful blows of his sword. Those short respites that he makes after each blow, your chance to inflict a couple of blows on him (and the attack of a legionnaire in a jump is extremely convenient in this regard). Otherwise, nothing complicated, so you can safely follow this tactic. Therefore, when you deal with the legionnaire, pick up a Titanite Chuck and an item called Aquamarine Dagger nearby on the landing (a little higher up the stairs). Let's move on.

Well, it's time to go back to the fork and finally go to the right. And in this place, pay attention to the narrow and not too reliable ledge - in this place the object glows. If you try to take this item, the ground will immediately collapse under the feet of the hero / heroine. As a result, the character will fall through the roof of the chapel, but the main charm is that he, again, will not receive damage. Therefore, having quickly recovered after a soft fall, take on the cleaning of the place from enemies (the inhabitants of the Depths will live and wait for you here). And after the battle, you can already collect all the useful items scattered around. What exactly is there?

First of all, the most “delicious” is the “Soul of a Weary Warrior”. A soul is picked up from a corpse that fell down with the character. The second important thing is the Titanite Scale. There are scales behind the fall site. Next, pick up the Twinkling Titanite. This shard is stuck in the candelabrum on the farthest side of the room, so try not to miss it. The last item will be a weapon called "Murky Hand Scythe", which is located behind the bookcase on the left hand (however, before you take this weapon, deal with the next inhabitant of the depths lurking on the ceiling first).

Immediately after collecting all the items, go outside through the hole, which in turn is in the wall. Soon ahead you will be able to see one of the many messages that were left by the developers. In this case, it will be: "Do not be afraid - feel free to jump down." So, the point is that attempts to defeat a monster flying nearby, which in some details resembles an angel, will lead nowhere. Why? Because this monster will bombard the character with its magic arrows non-stop. How do you defeat him? To defeat this monster, you first have to find and kill a unique creature, but more on that later.

If you have more than enough courage and nerves, then you can try to pick up the "Heavenly Blessing" (Divine Blessing), which will lie behind the place where you landed. However, the most reasonable option would be to hide behind a cover (a dilapidated turret a little further). At this point, it will be possible to avoid careful shelling, get to the next nearby building and pick up four "Lightning Urns". And one more important point: when the end of the angel comes, do not forget to return to this place and look around the corner. The bottom line is that here you can find the "Ring of Steel Protection +3" (Ring of Steel Protection).

Keep moving on. The next key point in this walkthrough is the ruined church, where two knights of Lothric will be waiting for the hero. One of these two knights will wield a huge battle banner, which plays the role of a spear, and the other knight - a sword. I highly do not recommend fighting with two knights at the same time. As a rule, the swordsman will run first to the hero / heroine, ahead of his comrade-bearer. So the faster you deal with the first knight, the more comfortable it will be to fight, taking on the second warrior. The weak point of any knight is the back. Therefore, these two soldiers are no exception.

The death of this strange creature is the solution to many problems in the initial locations of the "The Ringed City" expansion.

For the victory over the last knight (who carries the banner with him), you can get a "Chunk of Titanite". And near the altar will be the "Soul of a Crestfallen Knight". After taking the soul, go outside. On the street, go to the left side - at the same moment a tower will collapse on the chapel right behind the character's back. Now a very important point: kill the defenseless creature. What for? Thus, it will be possible to get rid of the angel forever, and plus everything to get two pieces of "Shimmering Titanite".

... Path: "Descent to the Ruins of Earthen Peak"

It's time to go back to the exit of the chapel and turn to the right. So, behind the fountain, near which the dead knights of Lothric have successfully settled down, it will be possible to find "Rusted Coin" and several inhabitants of the Depths. Therefore, as soon as you deal with them, climb the stairs straight into the building next to it.

However, before you go inside, keep in mind that enemies will respawn there endlessly, so I recommend you just run forward (along the way, you can grab the Titanite Chunk with you, unless, of course, you miss it or return for it a little later, when with enemies will be finished). You should run until you come across the "Murky Longstaff". However, try not to waste time, so hit the illusory wall on the left side of the boxes and thus open the passage to the second floor.

First of all, at the top, kill absolutely all the inhabitants of the Depths (while keeping in mind that some of them can turn into living shells). As soon as you kill them, no one else will appear on the first floor, so you can quite calmly pick up the "Coal" (it will lie behind the boxes, which in turn stand on the left hand) and also the spell "Waste of the great soul" (Great Soul Dregs). And as soon as you take all these items, jump further to the parapet, which can be seen in the screenshots above, and then you will stumble upon the Covetous Silver Serpent Ring. But that's not all, because you can get to the next location in two available ways.

The first path is through the arch behind the ruined tower. Moreover, in this case, you will have to fight several inhabitants of the Depths and one Harald's legionary on the way. However, first of all, you still need to deal with the sorcerer who summons the "sliders", after which you can already take on the legionnaire. After a long duel, collect the things scattered nearby ("Titanite Chunk" and "Bones of Return" in the amount of three pieces). As soon as you collect the items, you can make a jump to the collapsed mill far below. Do not be afraid.

From the parapet in the distance, there are two options for how exactly to kill Legionnaire Harald. The first option is to shoot him from above. The second option is to land on his head and thereby instantly kill.

The second path involves a path through the broken wall in the chapel and two knights inside the tower. However, if you do not burn with desire to fight, then you can run through the Lothric guards with peace of mind (and, just in case, you can restart the game to protect yourself from possible pursuit by enemies). In any case, you will need to talk to the lost memory warrior named Lapp. Kill the inhabitant of the Depths ahead and jump into the abyss on the right side, in fact, from the parapet.

If you don't want to complicate your already difficult passage, I recommend finishing off the knight in this passage.

A little further ahead, another standard-bearer from the guard of the knights of Lothric will wander - I recommend attracting his attention and killing him, and then go out to a rather open area. So, on this site, your character will already have a couple of inhabitants of the Depths waiting. You shouldn't hesitate with them, so sort it out as quickly as possible and grab the "Projected Heal".

The corridor below will be patrolled by two knights of Lothric. I recommend that you try with all your strength to fall on the head of one of the knights, because this is the only way to make the battle easier for yourself. In any case, as soon as you deal with the enemies, be sure to take the "Large Soul of a Weary Warrior", which is nearby. Then turn the corner and there you will already stumble upon the "Lothric War Benner", which, as you may have noticed, is used by some knights. For the rest, as in the previous case, without any fear, jump down through the hole that is in the fence. And now, when you finally find yourself at the foot of the mill, you will be able to notice the long-awaited bonfire.

Location: Earthen Peak Ruins (All Secrets)

: Complete walkthrough of the "Earthen Peak Ruins" location in the latest addition "The Ringed City" for the original game Dark Souls 3. The location of all secrets, collectibles, all enemies in the location, useful tips and tactics for passing.

So, Earthen Peak Ruins is the second area in The Ringed City expansion that you can get into after you get past the Dreg Heap. Earthen Peak, or to be more precise, what is left of it is the ruins of the once huge mill from Dark Souls 2 - coincidentally also one of the most vile and unpleasant locations in the entire game.

So this guide will help you completely go through this location, find all the useful items, cope with the most powerful enemies and just help you not to get bogged down in this terrible poisonous swamp among the ruins of a once majestic building.

... Path: “How to kill the first Angel? Road to the Boss "

Well, light a new fire, after which you must talk to the NPC named Lapp - this is a knight who has lost his memory, whom you could have met earlier. This time Lapp will tell about the treasure, which, it turns out, lurks in the vast swamps nearby. Moreover, if your character dies (and most likely it will be so) while trying to overcome this part of the location, then the knight Lapp himself will get the treasured item, which will become - "Titanite Slab".

A little further ahead, a local Angel will be waiting for you, who will immediately unleash a hail of magical and powerful arrows on the hero / heroine. So, in order to fully and thoroughly study the entire location, you will have to get rid of the winged monster and nothing else.

And this can be done, as they sometimes say, without leaving the checkout. Move in large dash-dashes from cover to cover to get to the building shown above in the screenshot, then press against the wall on the left and jump onto the root protruding slightly below (and it is quite possible that this move will take more than one attempt, so you will have to try ). So, on the site a little further than the character, the host larva will be waiting (there is no other way to describe this monster), which is responsible for the Angel (she controls him).

After killing the larva, pick up the two dropped fragments of "Twinkling Titaninte", and then pick up in addition to all the "Ember" that lies nearby. Then climb higher along the massive root to the very top of the mill. On the left side of the character on the roof, you can also find "Divine Blessing".

From the same place, you can jump straight to the next bonfire, which in turn will mark the battle with the Boss. Nevertheless, as part of this walkthrough, I recommend that you do not do this for now, because there is still a lot of interesting things in these swamps.

But let's get down to business. So, now that the Angel in the sky no longer interferes with freely moving around the territory, it's time to carefully study the location. Go back to the bonfire. On the left side of this fire will be a "pack" of poisonous horned beetles, which are guarded by "Black Firebomb" in the amount of four pieces. A little further on the right hand, you can find a huge root, along which you can climb higher and get a shard of "Shimmering Titanite", so do not miss it.

Now go back down and look inside the dilapidated wooden structure on the left hand of the character - in this place, two thieves from Lothric will be sitting in ambush. And after killing these thieves, the "Desert Witch's Robe" will drop out - this is part of a set of armor that can be collected in this location. In addition, next to one of the large stones lies another Titanite Chunk, but a little further in the dilapidated tower behind the large roots on the right side you can find the Titanite Scale.

Then go down the slope below (the slope is located near the building from where you once jumped to the maggot, which guided the Angel). On the way, you will have to deal with another thief, but this is not a problem. The main thing is that at the very end of the trail of this slope you can find the "Giant Door Shield" on the very extreme part of the cliff.

... Path: "Second Angel and the Swamp"

After following the guide above, you have thoroughly and thoroughly studied the area where the first Angel flew and raged, you must already go towards the swamp. In order to get to the swamps, you first need to go through a small tunnel, which is formed in turn immediately after the fall of the old tower - inside you can find another thief + the second one will wait below, but the main thing is that in this place you can find "Coal ".

In any case, after that you have to jump down to the swamp, where, in fact, the meeting with the second Angel will take place. And considering that the area is now more open, I recommend not to neglect the various shelters. However, this is not all there is to fear. The second problem with swamps is fog. The bottom line is that if the character stays in one place for too long, he can fall under the influence of the fog that the Angel creates around him in order to impose a curse on him.

Therefore, just like last time, the main task is to eliminate the Angel. To do this, move forward, simultaneously hiding behind all sorts of wooden buildings, roots, stones and other objects. The first step is to get to the place indicated in the screenshot above. So upon arrival at the indicated place, climb up the huge root and then jump onto the rooftops on the right side. On the rooftops, the hero / heroine will run into a thief, so kill him, go a little further and finally kill the larva. For this, in addition to the fact that you will enjoy the massacre of the next Angel, the character will receive, in addition to everything, a fragment of "Shimmering Titanite".

After the larva has been killed, you no longer have to worry about the Angel, so you can safely go to explore the territory. In the local swamp shack opposite the entrance, you can find two horned beetles that will guard the Purple Moss Clump, which is able to prevent the spread of poison in the character's body. And as it is not difficult to guess, on the territory of this swamp the object will be just in place.

The ring must also be found in order to advance the storyline, which is associated with the knight Lapp. Lapp will leave only the Sigbrau mug behind in the same place.

On the right side of the same place, on a small ledge, and again surrounded by huge beetles, you can find "Gloves" and "Desert Witch's Skirt", which belong to the aforementioned set of equipment. In any case, do not linger and climb higher up the massive root nearby to find the Ring of Favor +3. At the same time, try to behave carefully, because on the side of the hero / heroine the next thief will be meanly waiting. After killing the thief, turn around and jump to the large root, which is a little lower - here you can find another "Chunk of Titanite".

But already in the cave right above this place you will stumble upon one of Harald's legionnaires, accompanied by a dozen beetles. Kill them all, but be careful and then, if you win, you will become the proud owner of the Large Soul of a Weary Warrior. In addition, I will also note that if until this moment you did not bring Lapp a piece of titanite, then now it will be possible to find it in the cubbyhole on the left side of the large beetles. But first, however, you have to kill a couple more healthy legionnaires.

Opposite the same cave in the center of the swamp will be waiting for its hero "The Big Soul of a Tired Fighter", and a little further - another "Chunk of Titanite". On a small island nearby, surrounded by a couple of horned beetles, you can find the "Loincloth". In addition, from this place you can see the passage, which is under the strict protection of a bunch of powerful roots. However, getting inside is not difficult, so head to the aisle. But once inside, you will have to fight a legionnaire (and he will hide around the corner on the right hand of your character). After repelling the blow and killing this dastardly enemy, always pick up the Harald Curved Greatsword, and then climb higher up the slope - there will be a thief near the cliff who is guarding the Homeward Bone. So kill the enemy, take the item and move on.

... Path: Desert Witch Zoe

Well, jump down to the root and climb it straight up to a shining object a little further, which will still lie on the branch next door. When you get to the object, it turns out that this is another "Titanite Chunk". In any case, do not linger and just move up to the entrance to the next cave (on the right side, by the way, there will be the roof on which the maggot commanding the Angel once sat), kill the thief with the enchanted flamberg on the way and continue moving forward.

During the battle with the "Desert Witch Zoe", she can use the Estus flask twice.

Now next to meet your hero / heroine will be released "Desert Pyromancer Zoey", which will be accompanied by two thieves. So, I recommend first of all to kill the thieves so that they do not get in the way of corny, while trying to keep an eye on Zoe more often, because she will throw fireballs. And after killing the thieves, you can safely take on the witch herself. There will not be so many techniques in a woman's arsenal, but their scarcity compensates for their effectiveness, so be careful.

From a distance, the witch will try to hit the hero with fireballs. And she will do this until you dare to come closer to her, and you have to do this if you are fighting in close combat. So, at short distances, Zoe uses pyromancy, or rather "Fan of Flame" (Flame Fan). By the way, the character will receive this spell as a reward if he kills the witch + receives “Conflagration” and a whip. When the witch takes damage, she tries to roll to the side. this maneuver can be prevented either with the help of some quick weapon, or by holding the witch in a corner (which will be quite difficult, and not only because of endurance, although she will need to be given special attention).

When you manage to defeat the evil witch, be sure to pick up six pieces of "Rainbow stones" (Prism Stone) at the wall on the left and a little thing called "Desert Witch's Hood" near the exit from the cave. Moreover, if you followed this passage and got rid of two Angels, then the path further will be absolutely safe, so in addition to everything nearby on another adjacent branch you can safely pick up a piece of "Shimmering Titanite". When you take it, go to the very end of the root, from where you can jump onto the tumbled down and dilapidated tower (in order to make it easier to navigate, the screenshot above is presented).

When you land on the ash (otherwise the character will suffer a little), go down to the larva, which will protect the first angel (if suddenly you have not done this yet - this is a very important point), then use the advice of the developers and take a step straight into the abyss ... Do not be afraid, because the fall will be harmless, and below you will stumble upon the next bonfire. Therefore, all that remains to be done in this location is to kill the Boss. But more on that below.

Location: "Observation point of the mausoleum" (All secrets)

: Complete walkthrough of the location "Mausoleum Observation Point" in the latest addition "The Ringed City" for the original game Dark Souls 3. The location of all secrets, collectibles, all enemies in the location, useful tips and tactics for passing.

So, the location "Mausoleum Lookout" (The Ringed City) is a location surrounded by a line of rocks in the "The Ringed City" add-on for the original game Dark Souls 3. This area is an ancient, in many places covered with thickets in ruins of the city, once transferred in the possession of the pygmies by Gwyn himself.

This guide (full walkthrough) will help you find all the useful items and things in the "City Behind the Wall" location, as well as go through the most dangerous and difficult enemies and, in the end, will reveal the secret of how to avoid falling under a hail of arrows on the top of the city behind the wall.

... Path: "How to get through the ghost archers?"

After you deal with the Demon Prince, the guide for which can be found here or in the guide above, pick up the messenger's flag near the new fire and move further down the stairs straight through the tunnel. At the very edge of the cliff (at the end), you will need to poke the same previously found flag into the ground. When you do this, then flying demons will fly to the hero / heroine and transfer the character to the next location, so you should not be afraid of them.

And as soon as your character is on solid ground, turn 180 degrees and pick up the "Titanite Scale". Then go down the stairs to the fire below. Along the way, be sure to talk to the "Pygmy Lord" lurking in the gray grass, who, by the way, will tell you about how to get the "Dark Soul".

And although the landscapes are quite beautiful, the "Mausoleum Observation Point" is a rather inhospitable and dangerous place. Basically, of course, it's all because of the Judicator Giant on the opposite side. The bottom line is that as soon as he raises his hands, a whole horde of ghostly archers rises out of the ground in an incredible way, who destroy the hero / heroine just in the blink of an eye.

So, in order to prevent another death, go down to the wall below, and then take cover behind the first line of gravestones in front. And all this must be done as quickly as possible. As soon as the first attempt to hide behind shelters is successful, wait until the phantoms disappear again (they usually make three hail of arrows, after which they disappear and appear back), look quickly under the stairs behind, along which you went down to the phantoms. There you can find the complete Ruin Set straight from Dark Souls 2.

What to do next? Now it will be necessary to move forward from one tombstone to another in short and small dashes, while moving at the moment when the phantoms disappear. You need to get to a round platform, from which you can then jump onto the dilapidated bridge. Moreover, as soon as you do this, then, most likely, a skeleton will come to you, so you have to kill it, because it interferes too much. However, you need to kill him at the moment when you find yourself below.

After you find yourself again on solid ground, look carefully - behind you will be a tempting Soul of a Crestfallen Knight. In addition, there will be a Crystal Lizard on the opposite side of the bridge, so try not to miss it. Catch up, kill the lizard and get additional titanite. However, be extremely careful, because there will be too little room to maneuver, so you can easily fall down.

So now it's time to go up the stairs at the very end of the balustrade. At the top, you will need to immediately take cover behind another row of gravestones (the screenshot above will help to determine the place more precisely). Soon two skeletons will go to meet the character, but it will not be difficult to deal with them even in conditions of regular shelling - the main thing is not to leave the shelter. So, on the site a little higher, the culprit of this whole performance, the Giant Judge, was also successfully located. Therefore, go up to his platform, where he stands, turn to the right and run further down the stairs. You need to run until you come across a representative of the local locust race - now the character will be safe.

... Path: "How to kill the Giant Judge?"

So, if you want to fully explore the territory occupied by phantom ghosts, then you will have to kill the Giant Judge. However, before you take on this business, you should know that this mini-Boss has one unique feature: he will respawn after the death of the main character, so before you start moving on, make sure to collect everything you want.

However, in fact, the Judge himself does not pose any particular danger. Fighting with him in close combat, he can only punch the character with his fist, because the greatest danger can only be summoned ghost warriors. On the platform where the giant stands, there is a place for a couple of archers and a knight, who wields a rather impressive hammer.

In general, if your character is a melee fighter, then you will have to settle down near the only convenient line of gravestones in the entire area of the Judge - this line of plates will protect you from a hail of arrows. The intervals between the attack and the appearance of archers must be used in order to inflict the Giant Judge from two to three hits, and then return back to the shelter and sit out until the next opportunity. But the biggest problem is that the whole process will be complicated by the knights, although they start and end their attack (and the only one) standing in one place, so skillfully using the situation, they will not cause any problems.

But if you still prefer long-range battles, then you have to take a position in the middle of the stairs that lead from the judge to the friendly NPC. So, the bottom line is that in this case, the archers will not appear. The only one who will appear is a knight, so after having dealt with him, run upstairs, make a couple of shots and return back to your secluded "burrow". You will have to fight this tactic to the bitter end.

... Path: "Cleaning the area and the path to the fire"

As a reward for your efforts, you will receive only "Divine Blessing", but for which the character will get only once, no "farming". In addition, the death of the Giant Judge indicates that the entire main part of the location is now available for full exploration, so do not miss and collect the following things: Large Soul of a Weary Warrior, Coal ( Ember, Green Blossom in the amount of four and Titanite fragments in the amount of two. Finally, be sure to look into the small tomb under the platform, where, in fact, the Judge was sitting, because there you can find the "Hidden Blessing".

After collecting things, you can return back to the talkative locust to go down the stairs from it. Go until you see in the distance a pygmy (a resident of this very city), which will have a hood. However, if you try to approach him, then his other kind will try to push the hero / heroine into the abyss. Therefore, having dealt with the aggressor, attract the attention of the second pygmy, because another one will be waiting for you on the ceiling. In general, kill all enemies and keep moving on.

Soon in front you will be able to notice another luminous little thing, which, by the way, will be guarded by pygmies: the first pygmy will hang from the right edge of the balustrade, the second pygmy - from the far, the third - waiting on the wall. But as soon as you clear this part of the location and take with you the nearby "Purging Stone", you can finally look into the passage that is located on the left hand - then you will find the next fire.

Location: "Inner Wall of the City" (All Secrets)

: Complete walkthrough of the "Inner Wall of the City" location in the latest addition to "The Ringed City" for the original game Dark Souls 3. The location of all secrets, collectibles, all enemies in the location, helpful tips and tactics for passing.

The Ringed Inner Wall location is the second and much more extensive area than the section of the city outside the wall from The Ringed City expansion for the original Dark Souls 3. So, this piece of the location is quite a long descent to a huge swamp that was once the streets of this forgotten place. This guide is intended to help you find all the existing useful items, cope with especially dangerous and powerful enemies, and, in the end, the passage will simply help you not to get lost on the way to the flooded part of the city behind the wall.

... Path: Ambush and the Knight from the City Beyond the Wall

So, if it seemed to you that the upper part of the city behind the wall was too tough and ruthless in relation to your hero / heroine, then get ready for the fact that on the territory of the "Inner Wall of the City" dastardly and unexpected ambushes will lie in wait for the hero at almost every step ... And yet, almost any skirmish with the enemy can be avoided if you set yourself as a target to get to your destination as quickly as possible. However, as part of this walkthrough, I, of course, will not do it.

So, first of all, pay attention to the fact that there are as many as three exits from the room with the fire, one of which (in this case, the one on the left side) will be blocked for the time being. A corridor on the right side will lead you to a balcony where, provided that you have moved the storyline a little further, you can find Lapp - a knight who suffers from amnesia and who this time is looking for the "Monolith of Purification" (Purning Monument) ... And all in order to restore the lost memory. However, now you will not be able to help him in any way, so you simply accept a gift in the form of a "Sigbar" from the poor fellow and pick up a nearby "Coal" (Ember).

Now return back to the fire and proceed through the last accessible doorway - around the corner on the left side, an aggressive Pygmy will be waiting for you in ambush. So, after killing him, go further to the stairs in front and quickly jump back so as not to get hit by another aggressive local resident (but this time with crystals sticking out of the enemy). And unlike its more human-like relatives, this pygmy variant will move on all fours, while spreading a curse around itself. Therefore, it is best to deal with such enemies as soon as possible and best of all from afar.

But in any case, after the fight with him, go down the stairs below and on the way finish off the "corpse" of another pygmy + get ready for the next sudden ambush - a little further on the character's site several local residents will be waiting. Therefore, as soon as you deal with them, go down the stairs on the right side and pick up an item called "Hollow Gem".

Then, having reached the site, which is covered with white flowers, you will have to fight with the very first "Knight from the city beyond the wall" (Ringed Knight). What distinguishes them from ordinary warriors (of a similar rank) is that they have a ring of fire in their chest. The second major difference is the choice of weapon. The whole "salt" is that the weapons of such knights can ignite freely and therefore cause additional damage.

In this case, the knight will carry a small shield with a dragon's head and a sword. Moreover, the shield has one small, but very important feature - it can spew fire like a flamethrower. Therefore, always try to be vigilant in battle: the attacks of these guards are very fast and can reach even a slightly stagnant person at a decent distance. However, like any other knight, they have one drawback - this is a vulnerable back. And for the victory you will be able to get Titanite Chunk in the amount of four pieces, Ember and the components of the set armor set.

After you deal with the knight, then at the far end of the site, turn to the right, then kill the pygmy spreading the curse and then be sure to pick up the "Titanite Chunk". After that, you can safely attract the attention of the pygmy lurking in ambush (in this case, on the wall) (the screenshot above will help determine the place). Kill the pygmy from above, then switch to the one that is hiding around the corner on the right side.

... Path: Harald's Humpbacked Pygmies and Legionnaires

As soon as you get into the courtyard of a small church (where, by the way, you will follow), a cleric moving on his four "paws" will run out to meet the character, who will look more like a turtle. So, when fighting with such creatures, you can never stand in one place, because, being at a distance, they can calmly use offensive spells and pound the hero / heroine well. In addition, because of this parody of a turtle, a glowing circle will appear under your feet every few seconds, which will cause quite a lot of damage.

So, therefore, it will be easiest to get close to such an opponent and start after that to inflict a bunch of blows. At a short distance, they practically do not pose any danger (in close combat, these "turtles" have only self-healing and a couple of weak attacks, but no more). The only thing a pygmy can do is hide in a shell to reduce the damage it takes. However, two or three powerful blows - and the monster will immediately overturn on its back, after which it can be safely finished off.

But inside the church, there will be three more such pygmy clerics on whom you can even practice a little in extermination. One floor below it will be possible to find another "hunchback", but to get to him, you must first jump very carefully onto the chandelier in the very center of the room, and then jump from the chandelier to the second tier. And as soon as the next hunchback pygmy is killed, be sure to pick up a piece of "Twinkling Titanite" (Twinkling Titanite).

The lowest floor will be patrolled by another version of the knight from the city beyond the wall, only slightly different: this one will have a spear and a large shield with a dragon's head. This time, the knight's shield can stun the enemy for a second, and the owner of the shield can give additional stability for a while. In addition, if you decide not to kill the cleric-hunchback-turtle on the second floor, then prepare yourself for the fact that you will have to dodge his attacks.

And yet, as soon as you finish dealing with the enemies in this zone, pick up the "Shriving Stone" near one of the columns, and then go outside. On the street you will find yourself on a massive staircase, along which three Harald Legion Soldiers will begin to climb to your character.

Cross the street, thus turning to the left. On this side, immediately deal with two pygmies, who in turn lurked on the bridge. Move as far as possible to be undetected. Now you need to wait for the moment when the big guys disperse: one of them will take a position in a niche nearby, and the second will turn back, without even reaching the character, but the third will have to fight. While on the bridge, if you try, you can deal with three legionnaires. How to do it? To do this, it is enough to jump on the heads of the legionnaires in time. It is necessary to calculate the time of the strike, because, otherwise, by killing one bruiser, you can provoke the second and thereby get big problems.

In any case, when you get rid of the two legionnaires, climb to the very top of the stairs and kill the now last legionnaire in the fall. Pick up the "Titanite Chunk", which, by the way, the legionnaire will guard. But that's not all, because on the way to the wreck, the pygmy healers will suddenly revive (there will be two of them in total), so kill them quickly, take a piece of titanite and move on.

After a short fight, you can talk to an NPC named Shira. The character will stand outside the doors of the house, which in turn is at the top of the climb. And if you tell her the name of the god (the answer is "Gwynne") and talk to "calm" the dragon named Midir, then as a reward you will receive an item called "Sacred Shime of Filianore".

... Path: "NPC Invasions and More Knights"

It's time to go back to the bridge, near which your hero / heroine was ambushed by the mean pygmies. Cross the bridge, pick up two Mossfruit near the tree and go through the arch a little further. As a result, the character will find himself in a courtyard strewn with purple flowers, where the character will stumble upon another knight from the city beyond the wall (in this case it will be a swordsman). After killing him, head up the stairs on the left side.

But attention now, because at this moment you will be invaded by the ghost of the Seeker of the Sperned. So, he is similar to Alva, who could be found at the entrance to a location called "Irithyll Dungeon". It also has a crossbow and murakumo. I recommend attacking the ghost only at the moment when he is either using a ranged weapon, or his combination of blows is coming to an end.

By the way, as a reward for the fight with the Seeker of Outcasts (of course, in case of victory) you will receive a "Wolf Ring" which will improve the balance of your character. But in a small alley on the far side of this part of the location it will be possible to find on top of everything else "Black Witch Set of armor" (Black Witch Set).

However, do not deviate too much from the path originally set, so head back to the stairs and continue down until you see a small depression on the left side. The bottom line is that a pygmy-cleric-tortoise and a pygmy-curser hid in this recess for another ambush. But after dealing with them, continue to move on. A little further (to the left) there will be another ambush with the active participation of local residents. So get ready to attack, and after defeating them, pick up the "Moss Berries" and "Large Soul of a Crestfallen Knight".

! When you approach the swamp, three of Harald's legionnaires will instantly rise from the mud. However, if you have no desire to fight them, then you can safely run past them or return to the place of the last ambush, and then turn to the right side - straight to the part of the location that is not necessary for passing.

Now, in the corridor where the hero / heroine falls, there will be (and one of them even hang) several pygmies of two types at once. So after killing them, go out to a spacious area covered with white flowers, which in turn will be patrolled by another knight, but this time a spearman. After that, in the same area, the locals (of all stripes) will arrange another ambush. Plus, they might even try to intervene in a duel with the knight, so try to be on your guard.

In theory, fighting these pygmies is not necessary at all. You can even just pick up the Ringed Knight Spear nearby and immediately run away on your more important business. But if you set yourself as a goal the destruction of all living things at the level, then I recommend first of all to get rid of the pygmies, but after them take up the knight.

In any case, it doesn't matter whether you killed them or just ran, you still need to cross the bridge nearby to meet the next enemy. Although not so strong, but for that rather familiar, albeit in the person of a locust preacher. Then go down to the large swamp along the rather conveniently located ledges on the right (the screenshot above will help you understand what this place is). In addition, if even the flask with Estus or your strength is already running out, do not panic: very soon you will stumble upon the next bonfire.

Do not miss the next "Titanite Chunk", which will lie near the flooded tower, while in addition to everything, you will need to deal with the clerics-turtles. But now pay attention, because one of these pygmies has acquired a new skill - a "turntable". After killing, be sure to pick up the Soul of a Crestfallen Knight and climb up the vertical ladder a little further. At the top, turn to the left, and if there is a desire, then talk to a rather friendly locust, otherwise, go further higher and does not slow down. At the very top of the character, there is a fork.

Look to the left and you will see a crystal lizard (for killing this lizard, you can get "Shimmering Titanite"). There is a bridge behind the crystal lizard, and on the opposite side of your hero / heroine two knights from the city behind the wall will be waiting at once. The first will be the spearman. The second is the swordsman. I recommend luring one of them to yourself, and then in the same way deal with the second. As soon as you deal with two enemies, go around the buildings in front and find another pygmy.

After killing this creature, go further along the balustrade to the next tower - inside you can find the Covetous Gold Serpent Ring. In addition, there will be Lapp inside, who is still looking for the Monolith of Purification. But since you do not yet have information about the location of this place, go back to the fork.

This time you will need to jump from the platform onto the serpentine, which will lead the character to a tall structure made of stone. And going inside, the hero will again become a victim of another invasion, but this time the "Silver Knight Ledo", who will be armed with a huge hammer, will visit the main character. Moreover, the same weapon will become yours as soon as its owner dies. It will be extremely slow to beat Ledo, but if he hits, then it will definitely not seem enough. Moreover, his special attack with flying stones is especially dangerous, which not only stick to the hammer, but also scatter when it touches the ground or the player.

As soon as you deal with the next uninvited guest, then pick up the "Fragments of titanite" (there will be two in total), and they will lie on one of the balconies. After that, go back to the entrance to the tower and go down the ledges to the ground, while on the way, be sure to take along the Hevel's Ring with you.

It's time to go back to the swamp entrance and now turn to the right. At the farthest end of the narrow passage you will find the White Preacher Head. Once in open space, pick up the "Dark Gem" near the locusts - these are small representatives of their race, so they will attack if you are attacked by older individuals. In any case, after that you will need to turn to the right. Go a little further to finally meet with the first hostile representative of the race of humanoid insects.

The first thing you need to know about these individuals is that they use magic spears. Their back is also protected, because there is a strange but effective defense mechanism there. However, the locusts will not pose any great danger, because having a normal reserve of stamina and a fairly fast weapon, these enemies can be killed without much difficulty.

And after killing the locusts, just move forward, climb the stairs higher and pick up the Prism Stone, and there will be four stones in total - all of them will hang on the fence of the stairs. Turn further to the left and now you will find the long-awaited bonfire.

Location: "City Streets Behind the Wall" (All Secrets)

: Complete walkthrough of the location "Streets of the city behind the wall" in the latest addition "The Ringed City" for the original game Dark Souls 3. The location of all secrets, collectibles, all enemies in the location, useful tips and tactics of passing.

This guide is intended to help you find all the useful items, deal with the most powerful and problematic enemies, and just not drown in the quagmire of disasters that the player encounters in this location.

... "The dangers of swamps and the prevalence of locusts"

In addition to other important tasks, it will be necessary, in addition to everything, to open the locked doors in a room with a fire called "The streets of the city behind the wall." In theory, this can be done in just a couple of minutes, but in order to collect all the treasures in this location and other equally valuable things, you will have to study and examine everything as it should be.

The main enemies in this location will be two types of locusts: small and large. Adults, as a rule, will wait for the player, sitting up to their heads in mud (the screenshot below perfectly demonstrates the position of one of these enemies). Therefore, I recommend that you be careful first of all and do not constantly run headlong for the next luminous object. Of course, the "children" will not pose any danger, since they will attack only when the character is attacked by their "parents" (larger individuals). After all, these "larvae" don't have a lot of health.

When you get to the middle of the swamp, move along the left edge of the location until you come across a locust guarding a piece of Twinkling Titanite. And on the right hand of your hero there will be another Giant Judge (the first one could be found in a location called the Mausoleum Lookout), but now I do not recommend bothering him (and he himself will not be able to notice at such a distance your character), because there are too many enemies around now who will join the battle with great joy and crush the character not only by number, but also by force.

A little further on the left side of the same swamp there will be a half-flooded tower, to the roof of which a fallen column leads. Therefore, you can easily climb to the top of the structure. Above, kill the cleric-pygmy (tortoiseshell creature) and then after the battle climb the hill on the left side. And on the way, deal with another representative of the local insect race.

On a hill sits a trinity of enemies, which consists of tortoise-shaped clerics. After killing these enemies, it will be possible to collect the Titanite Chunk and the weapon called the White Birch Bow. In addition, the hill is useful in that a large group of hostile locusts will be visible from it - they can either be lured to this hill one by one, or simply left alone and move on, because they do not have any special values.

Now you need to go down to the swamp from the opposite slope from the "entrance" to the hill. Along the way, you also need to deal with another pygmy turtle, but this time from the enemy will drop "Young White Branches" in the amount of three pieces. If nothing falls from the enemies, then the branches lie near the tree. What are young white branches for? In the course of the passage, they will come in handy for solving one very interesting puzzle.

Inside the building (near which the praying tortoise-shaped clerics are still gathered) lie the "Church Guardian Shiv". But pick up this item only when you kill all these hunchbacks, otherwise you risk falling into their disfavor.

... Iron Dragonslayer and the Giant Judge

When you finally leave the building, move to the left side until you reach a spacious area that resembles an "arena". This semblance of an "arena" will in turn be littered with the corpses of Harald's legionnaires. At this point your hero / heroine will be waiting for the "Iron Dragonslayer" - this is an exact copy of the "Dragonslayer Armor" Boss straight from Lothric Castle.

So, in a battle with this enemy, try to strike your blows clearly and synchronously on the side where the mini-Boss does not have a shield (the problem is that it is practically impenetrable) and at the same time try not to get carried away, not to be "greedy" - in general, do not stand in one place for a long time. If you, in turn, are not sure that you can regularly dodge his attacks, then use a shield with acceptable stability and protection from thunder damage. One of the most suitable shields in this fight is the Giant Door Shield, which can be found in this playthrough, but slightly higher.

In addition, like the main version, the Iron Dragonslayer cannot be parried, but for that he can be critically hit after being stunned. Finally, I will add that this mini-Boss will be extremely vulnerable to cold.

As soon as the Iron Dragon Slayer is defeated, you will not only receive a set of his armor, but also the opportunity to carefully study the area for values, and in this place you will find: "Titanite Scale" in the amount of two pieces and two "Scrap of titanite ”(And one of them will lie a little further on the way to the half-flooded church).

In general, if earlier the Judge could summon warriors and archers to his aid, now he, plus everything, can also summon sorceresses, who in turn use a rather unpleasant spell. It is worth dodging this spell only at the very last moment, because otherwise the blast wave will still reach the hero. In addition, try to get to this giant as close and fast as possible. The bottom line is that if the character is near the giant at arm's length, then he will not call anyone else, but will try to kill the hero on his own.

Hidden Blessing and Titanite Fragment are the rewards for killing this giant. But this is not all, because it is also necessary to inspect the rest of the previously inaccessible territory. This will allow you to find a Titanite Chunk, two standard Soul of a Weary Warrior, one Large Soul of a Weary Warrior, and Preacher's Right Arm). And while doing this, try to be careful, because some objects in the area will be protected by locusts.

Now you can move on. Climb the hill nearby to reach, thus, to the roof of a small chapel - in this place pick up a new item called "Ringed Knight Straight Sword" + be sure to kill another insect-like preacher. From the same place it will be possible to jump down to the stairs that lead to the next bonfire called "The streets of the city behind the wall."

... Riddle solution and workaround

After you clear the main part of the swamp of enemies, it is time to move towards the flooded church. However, be careful: this place will be guarded by knights from the city behind the wall. In addition, if you are not looking for a way to quickly die, then I do not recommend fighting with them (there is a whole group of knights). Try to lure enemies to you one at a time, and then kill without risking provoking the rest of the enemies (plus everything, if the Giant Judge or the Iron Dragon Slayer is alive, then it is best not to attract attention at all).

And yet, when you deal with the knights who patrol the church, be sure to pick up an item called "Black Witch Veil" (Black Witch Veil). This wonderful little thing lies near the left side of the building. Then go up to the lid - there will be a piece of "Shimmering Titanite". From the same place, you can see the bridge, which can be seen to be guarded by an impressive-looking dragon (by the way, it was Shira who spoke about it at one time), but in addition to the dragon, at the same place you can see a glowing doorway in a rather massive stone building. In general, go to this place in order to unlock the previously locked doors in the room where the fire is also located.

And now attention, because on one of the walls there will be an inscription with the words: "Show your humanity." In general, in short, it's a mystery. You can solve the puzzle using one of the young white branches that you, following this walkthrough, could get earlier. Climb back down to the large swamp (and it's better to go down through the doors near the fire). There, use the young white branches - this item will help to blend in with the environment, turning the hero into what is presented in the screenshot above. So, without leaving this image, return to the engraving and climb the fallen stairs at the top.

After that, you will find yourself on a platform dotted with white flowers, which in turn will be patrolled by two knights from the city beyond the wall. But behind a rather high tower in the middle of this part of the location, another Judge-Giant sits, but it's better not to provoke him ahead of time. So, first of all, without approaching the structure, you need to attract the attention of one of the guards (and best of all the swordsman) and try to deal with him as quickly as possible, otherwise the knight-spearman will also join this battle, which will significantly complicate the battle.

As soon as you manage to deal with the two knights, you can safely run to the giant, while trying not to catch yourself off guard by the phantoms, which, as usual, the Judge will call upon. For defeating this enemy, you will be able to receive Divine Blessing and a few more Titanite Scraps.

But in fact, it is not even necessary to kill enemies in this place, because you can simply rush quickly past them. In any case, whether you killed everyone or not - it doesn't matter, go down the stairs on the far side of the site and turn further to the left, towards the small bridge. By the way, along the way in the same direction you can find the "Large Soul of a Crestfallen Knight" (Large Soul of a Crestfallen Knight). At the end you will find the "Monolith of Purification", in search of which Lapp came here. So, the monument can be used to forgive sins, reverse devastation and revive a certain hero (although this option will not be available for now).

Since the monolith was found, so it will be possible to return back to the knight who has lost his memory. Return back to the stairs you went down to this place to climb back and continue to move forward. On the way, kill the aggressive pygmy that will guard the Dragonhead Shield and then jump down. As a result, your hero will be right in front of the very chapel where the knight named Lapp will sit. Approach him, talk, point to the location of the monolith and return back to the fire.

... Dragon Bridge and Common Grave

After leaving the room with the inscription regarding the puzzle, turn towards the mountain path on the right side and pick up the "Titanium scales" along the way. At the place where the scales were found, turn around and notice the approaching knight. And on the edge of the abyss, I recommend not to fight with him, although with a successful combination of circumstances (for example, with a stab in the back), he can quite beautifully fly off into the abyss. Therefore, in any case, when you deal with the knight, be sure to pick up the "Dragonhead Greatshield". As soon as pick up the object, climb the bridge.

And in his usual manner, the bridge will be guarded by a large and evil dragon who does not hesitate to use his fresh fiery breath. Your main task is to reach the first object glowing in the farthest part (see the screenshot above), and then enter a crevice nearby. The only problem further is that another aggressive pygmy set up an ambush: he will try with all his might to push the character directly into the flame of a fire-breathing dragon. Therefore, try to calm down the aggressive upstart in advance and pick up necessarily "Titanium scales" (two pieces) inside a small cave and one "Soul of a tired fighter" at the exit from this cave.

Before rushing towards the glowing object, wait for the moment when the dragon sweeps over your character one more time. Although the object will turn out to be garbage, something else is important, for example, that even though the earth has not cleared of fire anyway, it is still possible to move on it due to the rifts, therefore the damage to health will be small. But don't hesitate, jump to the safe area (which is marked in the screenshot above) and grab the Titanium Scales. There will be a pygmy ahead of the hero, so kill him in order to calmly reach the entrance to the next area. There will be only "Big Soul of a Tired Combatant" behind, but it will be much easier to pick it up now than usual.

First walkthrough and endings " LIGHT UP THE FIRST FLAME"and" END OF FIRE"

At this stage, we will get most of the trophies and trophies for the endings - "Ignite the First Flame" and "End of Fire". As the game progresses, we join all the covenants in order, find most of the rings, gestures, spells and kill 21 bosses.

The first 3 trophies will not keep you waiting. You just need to walk to the Fire Temple.
 • Light a fire - Light the fire for the first time.

_______________________________________________________________________________
In the temple of fire, we talk with all the NPCs that are there, for this you will receive several emotions.
We start to make the quest "Leonhard", it will result in emotion "Applause" and "Soul of the Rosary".

The first Lord is behind us, but we still have a long road ahead. Next location - "Catacombs of Kartus"... Here we will defeat 2 bosses "Old Demon King", "Lord Volnir" and get the "My Thanks!" Emote. having won or lost the duel "Black Iron Tarkus" in the location with the Demon King (lower lava room). To get to the location with the Demon, you need to hit the wooden bridge, he will fall and then go down from the entrance to the boss "Volnir" ...

Trophies of the Catacombs of Kartus location

 • Old Demon King - Defeat the old demon king.
 • High Overlord Volnir - Defeat High Overlord Volnir.
_______________________________________________________________________________
After "Volnir" we will have a winter location - Irithyll of the Boreal Valley... Before the boss "Pontifex Salivan" do not forget to summon the NPC: "Black Hand Gotthard" a "for emotion "By my sword"... In the location with water there is a fork that leads to the "Irithyll Dungeon", but first let's go through this location. After the "Salivan" boss we enter the "Loyal to Aldrick" covenant (behind the ghostly wall after the square). Before "Anor Londo" we kill "Captain Yorshka", take the ring and thus join the "Blades of the Dark Moon" covenant. Otherwise, she will not let us in, because we have already talked and joined the Fingers of the Rosary covenant. After that, we go and kill the second Lord of Ash "Aldrick, Eater of Gods".
_______________________________________________________________________________
Irithyll of the Boreal Valley Trophies
 • Pontiff Salivan - Defeat Pontiff Salivan.
 • Covenant: Loyal to Aldrick - Join the Loyal to Aldrick covenant.
 • Covenant: Blades of the Darkmoon - Join the Blades of the Dark Moon covenant.
_______________________________________________________________________________

After that, the second of the four Lords of Ash will fall:

It's time to go to the "Irythyll Dungeon"... A new NPC is waiting for us here: "Karla", emotion "Stretch out"lying on a corpse by the fire "Defiled Capital" and the third Lord of Ash - "Giant Yorm". This is the only main boss that requires a certain approach. The fact is that the game has "Vepon Arts" - these are special techniques performed by this or that weapon and consuming magic. These techniques either inflict stronger damage and effects on the target, or inflict damage with a certain element. On the example of "Jorma" the developers clearly show us this. Near his throne lies the "Lord of the Storm" sword. Pick it up and attack with this boss with a special attack, in which case it will be defeated in 5 special hits.

After that, the third of the four Lords of Ash will fall:
After the 3rd boss, we will automatically be thrown to the place where we started to get acquainted with the game - "The High Wall of Lothric" and the battle with the new boss "Dancer of the Cold Valley" will begin. If you lose, it's okay, call for help and defeat her. After defeating it, you will have access to a new location - "Lothric Castle".

But before you go to conquer the last Lord of Ash, after climbing the stairs, turn left and head towards the boss "Oceiros, the Eaten King"... The boss is simple, you can go through it alone without any problems. After the boss, open the door and find an emotion on the knight "Path of the Dragon"... It is needed to access the "Archdragon Peak" location. We pass to the chest and break the ghost wall behind it and find ourselves in a secret location "Abandoned Graves"... We are waiting for the boss "Champion Gundir", but the most important thing is the real Temple of Fire, in which you need to pick up the "Eyes of the Keeper of Fire". They are in the Temple behind the ghostly wall, in the place where Irina is sitting. To gain access to the second ending, you need to take them to the "Keeper" before you go to the battle with the final boss.

 • Oceiros, the Consumed King - Defeat Oceiros, the Consumed King.
 • Abandoned graves - Get to the Abandoned Graves.
 • Champion Gundir - Defeat Champion Gundir.

After taking the eyes to the "Keeper" time to visit the second secret location - "Archdragon Peak"... To do this, go to the "Dungeon of Irithyll", where there are several mobs sitting near the abyss and the "dragon stone" is located and use the emotion - "Dragon's Way". In this location, we will meet with 2 bosses - "Ancient Wyvern" and "Nameless King" (probably one of the best bosses in the game).

Archdragon's Peak Trophies
 • Archdragon Peak - Get to the peak of the Archdragon.
 • Ancient wyvern - Defeat the Ancient Wyvern.
 • Nameless King - Defeat the nameless king.
_______________________________________________________________________________
After exploring Abandoned Graves and Archdragon Peak, continue to explore the "Castle of Lothric"... We go straight along the stairs from the Dancer and move clockwise. In front of the gate, 2 wyverns will block the road, kill the white one with a bow or spells and you can go through. In this location we have to kill 2 bosses, "Dragon Slayer Armor" and the last Lord of Ash "Lothric", going through the "Archive". The archive is full of secrets, so research it carefully. Also in front of the entrance to the boss "Dragon Slayer" behind the wooden door there is the "Warriors of the Sun" covenant, it is there that you need to turn in the medals of the sun, and after praying we get an emotion "Praise the Sun".

The Last Lord of Ash has fallen:
As soon as all four Lords of Ashes are defeated, go to the "Temple of Fire" and activate all 4 thrones. After that, the battle with the main boss "Soul of Cinder" will become available. To get 2 endings on the first playthrough, after defeating the main boss, do not touch the fire or the inscription near the fire (if you find and give your eyes to the keeper), but exit the game and make a save. We load and activate the fire - we get the ending:

After that we start New Game +.

second playthrough and ending "USURPATION OF FIRE"

After the first passage, we got acquainted with the world of Dark Souls 3, it's time to complete a couple of quests for another ending and a ring with emotion.

After the second bonfire of the "Road of Sacrifice" location, we speak with Anri and begin to fulfill her / his (the character's gender will be opposite to yours) quest. The reward for the quest will be emotion "Quiet Resolve" and access to the third ending "Usurpation of Fire" .
To get access to this ending, you need to do a number of actions during the passage:

Detailed description of the quest ANRI

1. Meet "Yoel of Londor" in the "Undead Village" (the first bonfire with many worshipers). After talking with her, she goes to the Temple. 2. Continue playing and periodically return to raise her level. You need to do this 5 times. To raise the level, she needs "Dark Sigil" tags, you can get them by dying 2 times in a row without being restored by ash. ATTENTION! It is impossible to heal with the Guardian! Otherwise, "Yuria of Londor" will not appear in the Temple. You cannot heal even after it appears until the very end of the game, otherwise it will disappear! 3. After 5 level ups, "Yoel of Londor" dies, and "Yuria of Londor" appears instead. Levels 5 times need to be raised BEFORE you defeat the boss "Guardians of the Abyss" 4. Near the bonfire "Halfway to the Fortress" location "Road of Sacrifices" meet "Anri of Astora". We speak to her. At the same time, we are joining the covenant. 5. After killing the "Deacons of the Deep" boss, Anri appears in the Temple. We talk to her again. 6. After killing the "Guardians of the Abyss" boss, go down to the Catacombs and find her and speak 2 times (the first time in the right room before going down the big stairs, the second before the "Volnir" boss). The second time, she will give the task to go down and kill "Horace". Do this before you kill Volnir. 7. After being killed, return to her and talk. 8. Next, she will appear in the "Yorshka Church" location near the fire (location after the battle with the skeleton in bracelets). We speak to her again. 9. After you defeat the "Pontiff" go to the "Temple of Fire" and talk to "Yuria of Londor". 10. We find behind the ghostly wall (round room, after the Pontiff and the knights on the roof) location "Darkmoon Tomb". We speak with the servant and take away "Sword of a Vow" from her. 11. We go to the tomb and begin the ceremony. 12. Finish the game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPeSdlbT8D0

At the same time, we do another Sirris quest... The result will be a ring and an emotion "Darkmoon Loyalty". Do not wear the rosaria covenant ring when talking to her, this will block the quest. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dlTLa9n1his
Before the battle with the "Guardians of the Abyss" boss you will already have 5 black marks... Near the "Farron Fortress perimeter" bonfire, an NPC will become available: "Londor Pale Shade", it is he who will give the emotion "Duel Bow".

Don't forget to collect New Game + rings.

In the middle of the second playthrough, get a trophy for all gestures:

third playthrough: collecting rings and all that missed.

Starting a New Game ++. If you haven't missed anything and have met all the conditions for the required covenant ranks, you will only have to collect the remaining 16 rings. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oiekRq-JITU
The developers kindly hid these rings in all locations in the game, so in fact, you will need to complete the game for the 3rd time, unless you will not need to kill the final boss. When all 107 rings are in your inventory, we get:

Rings for special actions:

1. "Calamity Ring" - you need to use the "Path of the Dragon" emotion opposite the altar in the "Archdragon Peak" location (near the second bonfire).
2. "Priestess Ring" - Location "Abandoned Graves", sold by a trader (also falls when she is killed).
3. "Hawk Ring" - Location "Undead Village", we kill the giant archer.
4. "Knight Slayer" s Ring " - for killing "Black Iron Tarkus" near the lava pool. Location with the Demon King.
5. "Bloodbite Ring" - from a big rat. Location of the Village of Undead.
6. "Magic Stoneplate Ring" - from the knight guarding the entrance to the boss "Oceiros"
7. "Scholar Ring" - behind a secret wall in the "Archive" location. Easy to miss.
8. "Great Swamp Ring" - in the forest with large crabs.
9. "Deep Ring" - from the deacon on the way to the Fingers of the Rosary covenant.

Covenants

Covenants can be changed at any time. I advise you to farm them on the second playthrough. Something can fall from mobs, something can be obtained by invading, or helping others. In addition, there are more people on the second playthrough than on the third, respectively, a higher chance of being called.

Pay special attention to the Blades of the Dark Moon Covenant... The chance of a skull falling out with a mob is very small, so it is advisable to walk with their ring throughout the game. For the spell, you need to have 30 shards of the covenant.

Farron's Watchdogs Covenant
After you defeat the Guardians of the Abyss, go to the Temple and talk to Hawkwood, he will give the ring, or kill him if you already have the ring. Otherwise, he will kill the Old Wolf and this will block the promotion of the ranks of the Hounds of Farron covenant. Also, if you progress through the plot, the Wolf still dies. Presumably after the 3rd Lord of Ash.
Pharma of this covenant cannot be avoided, because it is difficult to kill the master of the world, and even when all mobs and people are hostile to you. I also note that an invasion is very rare. The ring requires 30 bloody blades.

Farming Bloodstained Blades
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=edKGHcZSkJ8
Marauder Covenant
The last covenant that requires 30 medals for the required spell. If you are not strong in PvP (medals are given for killing the master of the world), then there is a good place to farm. In addition, the drop rate is favorable to the players.

Covenant medal farm
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HLpbKluWGY
Fingers of the Rosary Covenant
You only need 10 languages to access the ring. Several languages will work out by itself. The rest can either be farmed or neglected (for this you need to be of the same level, otherwise one of you will not be able to summon the other).

Covenant language farming

Loyal to Aldrick Covenant
As with the Rosary, only 10 pupae are needed. Farm location - Anor Londo location, Aldrick's bonfire.

Covenant pupa farming
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TMZz_RvxgT4
Warriors of the Sun Covenant
To gain access to 2 spells, you need 30 medals of light. Considering that there are 20 bosses in the game, it is enough to call on "yellow" ones for battles with them or leave "yellow" inscriptions yourself. Even in 2 passes, you can easily collect more than 30 medals. There is no point in farming.

No other covenants are needed for trophies.

spells of PYROMANTY, MIRACLES and ENCHANCES and GESTURES

The Dark Souls line of games has always been distinguished by its hardcore and boss fights. In the guide, we will tell you about all the bosses in Dark Souls 3 in order, tell you about the passage and how to kill them. And so let's get started.

Dark Souls 3 walkthrough of all bosses in order.

Judge Gundyr

Location: Cemetery of Ash

Reward: Coiled Sword, 3000 souls

Judge Gundir

How to get through the first boss? We approach it and take out the sword from it. We immediately begin to beat him, there is an opportunity to start inflicting damage even before he gets up and starts attacking you. This boss has a long attack range and can easily hit you from a great distance. In the event that you decide to kite him, then you should move away, and if you fight close, then do not be afraid to come closer. It is necessary to dodge from attacks and circular attacks, then immediately attack. After the boss has half his health, he will begin to transform and become much larger, the distance of his attacks will also increase. We stick to the same strategy and attack him after his attacks. When he lowers his right hand to the ground, we move away so that he does not grab us. You can also hit when the boss leans forward slightly to hit.

Vordt of The Boreal Valley

Location:

Reward: Soul of Cold Valley Vordt, 3000 Souls

Cold Valley Wardt

In order to make it easier to fight this boss, you need to acquire things that increase resistance to cold. When fighting this enemy, you need to try to stay behind and attack him in the back, because he attacks exclusively from the front and over a large area, and being behind the back, it will be very easy to survive. After the boss's health drops to half, white steam will begin to appear around him. In the event that the boss starts shooting ice balls from the mouth, we move as far as possible. We do not change tactics, we repeat everything described above.

Curse-Rotted Greatwood

Location: Undead Settlement

Reward: Soul of the Cursed Great Tree, Transposition Furnace, 7000 Souls

Cursed Great Tree

First, when you get to the location, you need to kill all the simple opponents, then go to the boss. After the boss comes to life, you need to start hitting the growths, they will be immediately visible. After that, you will fall into the ground. Next, we go behind the boss's back and attack the growths again. When he rises, we move away. We run away from the yellow puddles, they do not much damage, but they slow down a lot. We destroy the growths on the side, trying not to get hit by the hand. It remains to deal with the growths on the legs.

Crystal Sage Expert

Location: Road of Sacrifices

Reward: Crystal Adept Soul, 8000 Souls

Crystal Spell Expert

This boss is dangerous in that he knows how to shoot large crystal balls, despite the fact that they are slow enough and easy to dodge, they do a lot of damage. First we attack the boss, after which he will disappear and crystals will appear. Then the boss will sometimes start to disappear and appear in different places, at this moment we will need to dodge the shots, and then counterattack. Further, the boss will have five orbs over his head. As before, they fly very slowly, so we attack and dodge. At the last stage, the boss summons its copies, each of which will also attack you. You need to find the real boss and dodge attacks, kill him.

Deacons of the Deep

Deacons of the Deep

There are a lot of enemies in this location, you should not attack everyone, you need to find the one who is highlighted in red and focus on him. Moreover, they are all quite slow and will not cause you much harm. Ignore them and dodge. When the second stage comes, opponents will appear who will shoot fireballs at you, so it's better to kill them. And do not forget to attack the main one. The "Pontiff's Left Eye" ring, which restores HP upon successful attacks, can facilitate the battle. If you can't get through with your current equipment, then maybe you should put on heavy armor and take any two-handed sword that will just scatter the ghouls.

Abyss Watchers

Guardians of the Abyss

At the very beginning, the boss will rush forward and start the fight with a lunge. Most often, he alternates between sword and dagger strikes. At the very end, he hits in a circle. After a series of blows, the moment comes when we need to start hitting him. When the boss enters the second phase, he will summon mobs, which should be noted are very nimble, but you don't need to be distracted by them. The most interesting thing comes at the end when the boss dies. After the first time, he will be reborn, and will become even stronger. We attack in the same way after his series of techniques, ending with a circular blow or a strong blow to the ground. If you move far away, the boss will make a powerful dash, which is difficult to dodge.

High Lord Wolnir

High Overlord Volnir

Once at this location, you need to go to the light, the boss will be waiting for us there. He will come out of the darkness to us, or rather the head and his hands. If you are using a shield, you can immediately remove it. In the battle with this boss, you will not need it, it is better to take a weapon with decent damage. At the moment when the boss raises his hand up, you need to come closer to him, or move as far as possible to dodge the blow. As soon as he makes a blow, you need to counterattack him and hit the gold bracelets on his hands. When the boss blows black smoke out of his mouth, we run as far as possible. If skeletons appear, do not pay attention to them and finish off the boss.

Pontiff Sulyvahn

Pontiff Salivan

Location: Irithyll of The Boreal Valley

Reward: Soul of Pope Salivan, 28,000 souls

Pretty strong and fast boss. We go into the room, and he immediately rushes to us. Knows how to jerk to the side. Deals several blows with a fire sword in a row, after which you can respond. The second sword lunges towards the hero. It is most convenient to rotate around the boss constantly trying to go behind him and periodically deliver one blow. When the second stage of the fight begins, the boss will kneel down and throw you back with magic. When the shadow he summoned (or something similar) begins to appear, it will be time for a few hits on the boss. The shadow will get in the way, but you don't need to focus on it. The boss will start striking after jumping, so when he jumps, we move away from the attack.

Old Demon King

Old Demon King

The boss is optional. For battle, you need armor with resistance to fire and physical damage. If you go in and immediately start hitting the boss, then you can manage to do a lot of damage. The boss will attack with his weapons and fire waves from the front. We dodge fiery attacks and try to attack and stay behind. After the boss raises his hands up from the sky, fireballs begin to fall - we dodge. He can also make powerful circles of fire, and we run away from them.

Giant Yorm (Yhorm the Giant)

Giant Yorm

Location: Irithyll Dungeon

Nearest bonfire: Defiled Capital

Reward: Ashes of the Lord, Soul of the Giant Jorm, 36,000 souls

First of all, we run past the boss to his throne and take the Storm Ruler sword. We take it with two hands and use (L2 (PS4) / LT (XB1)) special attacks. The boss is not agile and it is easy for him to go behind his back, passing between his legs. We return near him and charge the attack. We are waiting for a good moment and hit. You can often manage to perform two attacks in a row. In the second half of the battle, the boss will burn with fire and will be able to beat him. We do not fall under circular attacks.

Aldritch, Devourer of Gods

Location: Irythill of the Boreal Valley

Nearest bonfire: Anor londo

Reward: Ashes of the Overlord, Soul of Aldrick, 50,000 Souls

Basically the boss uses magic attacks and close attack with physical damage. He shoots arrows, which must be dodged. It is better not to move too far from it. We try to hit the long body and move away when he sticks his staff into the ground. We attack after firing arrows and melee attack. When he shoots from a bow, we run, but we make sure that he does not hit us with his staff.

Dancer of the Boreal Valley

Cold Valley Dancer

Location: High Wall of Lothric

Nearest bonfire: Cold Valley Wardt

Reward: Soul of the Dancer, 60,000 souls

The peculiarity of this boss is that he wields a very long sword and moves in a circle. It is best to attack the Dancer from behind, while dodging her circular attacks and blows from above. As the boss moves into the second phase, he will have a second sword. Because of this, she begins to inflict more circular attacks. After a series of blows, we attack. We try not to stand in front of the boss - the blows from above are very strong.

Oceiros, the Consumed King

Oceiros, the Consumed King

Location: Consumed King's Garden

Nearest bonfire: Cold Valley Dancer

Reward: Soul of the Consumed Oceiros, 58,000 souls, path to the "Abandoned Graves" location, "Way of the Dragon" gesture

This is a fairly slow and not the most difficult boss in Dark Souls 3. He is quite slow and attacks with sweeping staff strikes at close range. At the moment when he sticks the staff into the ground, we need to have time to move away, then smoke will appear around the boss. Sometimes the boss can jump on us, and you need to dodge in time. It is best to stay close to the boss's feet, so it's easier to dodge. It is often possible to strike before smoke appears. In the second stage Consumed King will start spinning by itself, he also begins to move quickly and freeze everything while in flight. We try to keep under his belly and beat after his attacks. It's better not to hide behind the columns - the boss will break them.

Dragonslayer Armor

Dragonslayer Armor

Location: Lothric castle

Nearest bonfire: Dragon barracks

Reward: Soul of Dragonslayer Armor, 64,000 souls, path to Prince Lothric.

Dragon Slayer Armor is one of the fast bosses in Dark Souls 3 (the only one with a shield), he knows how to dash towards the hero, fights close and delivers very strong blows from above. After he delivered a series of blows, we begin a counterattack. You need to try to constantly run around the boss in order to avoid his hits. After simple attacks of the boss, we do not inflict more than one hit. We dodge the swings in advance. In the second stage, balls will fall from the sky, we move away from the impact.

Champion Gundyr

Location: Cemetery of ash

Nearest bonfire: Untended graves

Reward: Soul of Champion Gundyr, 60,000 souls

At the very beginning, we attack the boss even before he gets up. We try to keep behind our backs or to the side, dodging his blows. The moment the boss kneels down, we begin to attack him. In the second phase, the boss becomes much faster, and on top of that, he will start punching and kicking. We continue to attack in the back. It is better not to stand on the way of the boss and constantly go to the side from attacks. We try not to stand still so as not to get caught in jumps.

Ancient Wyvern

This boss is quite unusual, and you can defeat this dragon with one hit if you want. We run past the boss through the tunnels, go up higher and next to the door (at the entrance to the boss) we go up the stairs. We pass along the wooden platform and jump down several times. We fall on the ledge, which is located above the head of the dragon. Here you need to jump down and kill him.

Lothric and Lorian (Lord of Cinder: Lothric Younger Prince & Lorian Elder Prince)

Location: Lothric castle

Nearest bonfire: Dragonslayer armor

Reward: Cinders of a Lord, Soul of the Twin Princes, 85,000 souls

This boss is dangerous due to his teleportation skill. Using teleportation, he can appear behind your back. He is very dangerous because he can strike at a great distance and even dash towards the hero. We dodge his attacks, and hit during the break. You can try to stab in the back. After the boss dies, the girl will resurrect him and unite with him. We dodge shots that can easily kill. We hit after the boss hits and closely monitor the teleportation. If you killed the boss again, but did not kill the girl, then most likely she will revive him again. She must be killed. Having defeated her, you can not finish off the boss, he will die himself.

The Nameless King

Location: Archdragon peak

Nearest bonfire: Great belfry

Reward: Soul of the Nameless King, 80,000 souls, Titanite Slab, Dragonslayer Set (Helm, Armor, Gauntlets, Leggings), Nameless King Set (Golden Crown, Dragonscale Armor, Golden Bracelets, Dragonscale Waistcloth).

We activate the switch and, after the bell rings, we get to the boss. It is extremely important to dodge the dragon's blows in time and counterattack him on the head. In turn, the King will try to hit you with his weapon from the front. Try to stay as close to the dragon's neck as possible without getting hit by its wings. If the dragon takes off, then we do not stand still, we move away from air attacks. After the dragon dies, a battle begins with its rider. The rider can also attack from afar or make sharp dashes towards the hero. After waiting for the moment, after he struck a series of circular blows and counterattack him. It is best to strike one or two hits and retreat. Try to hide behind a shield. Lightning attacks will appear in the second half.

Dark Souls 3 final (last) boss. How to get through Gwyn the Lord of Ash.

Soul of Cinder

Location: Kiln of the First Flame

Nearest bonfire: Kiln of the First Flame

Reward: Soul of the Lords, 100,000 souls, opportunity to start NG +

This is the long awaited final boss of Dark Souls 3. He is very dangerous and fast. Close up hits with circular and sweeping blows, lunges. When the boss has finished a series of his punches, we start hitting him back, no more than 2-3 punches at a time, otherwise we will not have time to dodge. When the boss enters the second phase, he gets knockback blows. The difficulty of the game increases as the range of his attacks increases. Further more. He has magic balls from which you will have to constantly hide and dodge. Here you will need to attack more carefully, after his magical attacks. After the first victory (move away from the explosion), the boss will become even angrier, and the attacks will become even faster and further. Fiery sword swings are very dangerous. We move away when he plunges the sword into the ground. We attack after such a series. We hit the same several times. Moving away from lightning strikes.

Dark Souls 3 is in the full sense of the word "hard". Despite the fact that she greets you quite gently (well, comparatively), her difficulty will grow exponentially, and the linear world will turn into a tangled, winding maze. Where to go? What to do? Where can I find a standing sword? What the hell just killed you? How to get that "shiny thing" that has been taunting you for an hour while you keep falling and falling off the rocks and getting caught by the monsters trying to get to it?

Whether you are a newbie looking for answers to all of these questions before closing this game and crying in horror at sheer injustice, or a time-tested veteran who just wants to make sure he’s not missing out on anything, this guide should help you. ...

If this is your first encounter with the Dark Souls series and are already familiar with the desire to break your controller from the very first minute of introduction into this world, then you are not mistaken with the choice of the game. Dark Souls 3 is the most compelling of all, second only to Bloodborne. The battles here are much more difficult than in previous games and will present you with many unforgettable ways to die. It is also more linear than its predecessors, and you will get access to new equipment, weapons and characters in due time, having time to properly feel your insignificance and meaninglessness of being.

Since this is your first time, you will likely need to get used to the DS mechanics. And who knows, suddenly you will be able to find that magic button, by light pressing of which the whole game goes through (no). Sometimes even seasoned players cannot learn all the combinations of blows, dodges, blocks and jumps.

But it's good that you came here, where we will help you solve your problems! These tips will not give you the magic key to victory over everyone and everything, but they will make your life much easier. Some of them only apply to Dark Souls 3, others form the core of the series.

And don't worry, there won't be any spoilers here. Therefore, it is better to read them before creating the character, later you will be grateful to us.

Start as a Knight

There are no traditional RPG classes in Dark Souls 3. There are no “tanks” and “dd” here. Instead, the primary classes have various options for a limited set of characteristics, each of which can be pumped as you like throughout the game. That is, you can easily take a mobile thief with a small knife, then pump magic to him and hand over a heavy shield in the process of passing. Classes are needed here only to determine the preferred playstyle.

Starting with the Knight is a great way to break into the game and show her what you are worth (though be prepared for what she will show in return). He is equipped with a good sword and a decent shield (better than other classes) that will serve you well for the first ten hours. In addition, the Knight has a lot of points in the parameters of Strength and Vitality, which means impressive damage from the very beginning and the ability to deliver more hits before the inscription "YOU DIED" is displayed on the screen.

You will also have a high Physical Power, which determines the maximum weight of your equipment and indirectly affects physical and elemental protection.

Simply put, it's a pretty well balanced class with arguably the best starting armor and weapons. It shouldn't be too difficult for you to start your adventure with, plus it allows you to use the classic Dark Souls sword and play style that most people prefer.

Vitality comes first

After defeating enemies, you get souls - the only currency in the game. They can be used to buy items, upgrade equipment, and level up. At the first opportunity to pump your level, add points to the Vitality parameter in order to increase the amount of HP you have.

Early in the game, a large supply of hit points is much more valuable than high Strength and other characteristics. The advantage of taking more damage, especially for beginners, is priceless.

Boost your Vitality to 17 or 18 before worrying about other elements of your build. Later you can invest in Strength or Dexterity.

Rolls are a guarantee of health

You need to roll as often as possible to avoid enemy attacks. Many of the found shields do not absorb 100% damage (especially when it comes to magic, fire, poison, etc.), as a result of which you will receive damage to your health even if you successfully block. And if you use a two-hander at all or a weapon in each hand, you have no shield - no protection.

Roll as soon as opponents aim at you, when you cannot or do not want to run away from them.

Rolls use the same green stamina bar that is needed to hit or block. Always make sure you have enough of it.

Increasing the Fortitude parameter allows you to increase stamina, but the ability to save it and use it wisely is practically the very essence of the game.

Don't be afraid to make mistakes with your build

This is familiar to many players. You invest too many points in any stat, believing that later it will benefit you, and then you realize that all these souls should be spent on pumping a completely different parameter.

Don't worry, around the middle of the game you will encounter an NPC that will allow you to redistribute all stat points. This can be done several times. We will not spoil the raspberries and will not tell you where and whom to look for, but you can look further for clues ...

Don't get overwhelmed

While you are just putting together your build, try to keep the total load at no more than 70%. You can check the current load level on the equipment screen. Even 0.5% matters, so don't ignore them.

The difference is whether you do fast rolls or slow rolls. That is, when you roll away from enemies, will your movements be light and smooth or cumbersome and incredibly slow. The latter also have their advantage in the form of so-called "frames" - several milliseconds of invulnerability during the animation of a long roll.

If you've played any of the Souls games for more than five minutes, you'll understand why rolls are a key aspect of the game. But if you are going to make a character with a large shield and heavy armor, which absorbs a significant part of the damage, then you don't have to worry too much about this.

However, in any case, in order to be able to escape from the hot spot at any suitable moment, do not load more than 70%.

Take your time with the Covenants

Covenants in Dark Souls 3 are like factions. You join one of them, do as you are told, gain the reputation of a given covenant, and ultimately a reward for serving their purposes faithfully.

In some of them, the process is quite simple. But most Covenants are difficult to advance and many are PVP oriented, requiring you to invade other players' worlds or defend them from invaders.

You join the Covenant by equipping the appropriate special item. They can be discovered by chance - like loot in the process of passing, communicating with some NPCs, going through quest lines or simply finding recruiters.

Remember that you can safely ignore any covenants, since joining them can irreversibly change your game, block the completion of some NPC quests, and the like.

If you join one of them, not knowing what you've got yourself into, you may suddenly find yourself in a foreign world or other (not always friendly) players in yours.

Without expecting this to happen, you will be very confused and disoriented, making the situation much more difficult.

Check chests and walls

You should know that there are a lot of mimics waiting for you in Dark Souls 3. These are monsters that look like chests, and as soon as you relax your vigilance and lower your shield, intending to take your legitimate prey from such a "chest", they grab you and finish you off in a matter of moments.

Always, in all Souls games, under any circumstance, hit the chest once before opening it! If this is a mimic - with your blow you will already inflict damage on him before he gets up and tries to attack you. If not, then you have nothing to lose. Also, never go to the chests unless you have cleared the room or the area in the immediate vicinity, because you are unlikely to like it when a whole crowd of enemies will kill you with impunity while the animation for opening the chest is going on, and if he also turns out to be a mimic ...

As for the illusory walls: all you need to do with them is to hit once those that you think may be hiding something, and they will disappear, allowing you to loot everything that is behind them, or open a slice.

If you play online, messages from other players on earth will help you identify both Mimics and Illusionary Walls, but you shouldn't trust them unconditionally, as some of them might just troll you.

Don't fight a boss with many souls

The Dark Souls games are mostly about battles with unique and memorable bosses that, if won, will bring you many souls. But also these souls in case of defeat, they can take away from you. A good way to check the available "cash" is to look at the equipment screen. He will tell you how many souls you have now and how many more are needed to level up.

If this amount is enough to pump a level or even two, it is better to return to the Temple of Fire and spend souls usefully.

Do not go to the arena with the boss or to a new location without freeing yourself from this burden, because you must agree: it is not pleasant to lose all your fortune and then not know how to get it back. This precaution will greatly simplify your life and will allow you to focus on getting pleasure from the game, and not shaking for the accumulated souls at every turn.

Don't be afraid to die

You will experience great disappointment if you are killed in an attempt to reclaim your lost souls in the place where you died last time. It happens that you are in a hurry to pick them up and forget about caution and patience in battle, and then die again and lose your souls forever.

Although we recommended that you spend your souls as carefully as possible on pumping a level or equipment, losing them is just an inevitable part of the game, put up with it. You cannot avoid it, just as you cannot avoid death itself, even there is caution - your middle name.

The trick is not to give yourself the opportunity to regret it. Did you die halfway through the location, just before you could reach the fire? It's okay, the second run will be easier, since you will already know where and what enemies you will encounter.

You are dying to avoid repeating the same mistakes. This is how the game teaches you. Even the best players get to know boss tactics in just a couple of tries, rather than the first time, before defeating them. Death is not a problem, so stop being afraid of it.

When you are constantly failing after failure and unable to make any progress, search the ground for white or gold blurry signs of summoning friendly phantoms to ask them for help. Or just turn off the game and try again tomorrow, then everything will work out!

Let's talk about what is in common and how the third part of DS differs from all the others with which you may already be familiar. If you are new to this world, most of the following will not make much sense to you.

However, if you have played all the games: from Demon's Souls to Bloodborne, or at least one of them, you will learn important nuances of the third part, as well as what it has in common with other parts of Souls.

Although the basic mechanics in them almost always remain the same, in each of them there are many small changes and innovations that mean a lot to seasoned players and can radically change the attitude towards the game.

The following tips can be used by anyone, but are intended primarily for veterans of the Souls series. They will save you a lot of time trying to understand how one or another mechanic works in the third part of DS.

Minor spoilers possible.

Skills

You've probably already heard of special weapon moves - the so-called Weapon Arts, the most significant innovation in Dark Souls 3. Simply put, they allow non-magic players to use the blue Concentration Points (OK) bar to perform unique attacks. different for each weapon. These techniques are very powerful and practically cannot be interrupted.

However, many players go through Dark Souls 3, using this system from force a couple of times, when they encounter particularly tough opponents or a particularly "invincible" boss.

This does not mean that Skills are useless. They're actually pretty good at staggering enemies early on in the game. It is also a good way to create your own combos, starting with a special move and continuing with a heavy or normal attack.

If you are using the sword + shield set, using a special sword skill may require you to take it in two hands. That is, you have to switch back to the shield as soon as the OK bar is exhausted, which is quite short.

Some shields also allow you to use weapon skills when equipped, but you will have to constantly switch to two-handed grip and back anyway.

If you are not interested in this, or if you cannot manage to react and change the grip in time in the midst of the battle, you can simply ignore these techniques and not bother with them.

It should also be noted that Skills are tied to weapons, not character classes. This means that you can choose them to your liking by simply equipping the weapon you want.

A flask of estus is your everything

There are no more Gems of Life from the second part of Dark Souls or various types of grass from Demon's Souls. Using estus is practically the only way to restore your health in the game. You will find some disposable items to restore HP later (for example, Heavenly Blessing), but they are few and it will take a very long time to get to them.

However, if you barely use your OK bar (assuming you ignore Skills and don't use magic), you can use it to apply healing miracles. By default, most classes start the game with one Scholarship slot for spells, and all you have to do is raise your Faith to the level required to use the miracle.

As soon as you do this, put on any talisman with a low requirement for Faith and use the free healing at your pleasure. This will essentially be the equivalent of healing stones. The miraculous healing process is comparatively slower than with estus, but it is better than nothing.

It is especially useful in the early stages, until you find Estus Shards or Burning Bone Shards to increase the number and efficiency of your Flasks.

It will be even better if you redistribute all the existing estus flasks (including the ashen ones to restore OK) into restoring HP. The blacksmith will do this for you for free at the very beginning of the game. Good to know before going to fight the boss.

Devastation system

If you played the second part of DS, then you should remember how with each death your health bar lost a decent chunk, which could only be restored by becoming a human.

However, Dark Souls 3 is slightly different from its predecessor. The devastation system here has two different forms. The first and simplest is called the power of the flame. You start the game without this ability.

If you want to restore your health to full value, use Coal or kill the boss (in your own or someone else's world). The amount of Embers you find throughout the game - just like the Humanities or Human Figures in the previous installments - is not very large, and although you can buy it from some NPCs, it is still a very limited resource.

You will notice red flares of fire around your character when using the power of the flame. It also gives an increased health bar.

The second form of devastation has several levels, the maximum of which reaches 99 and can be tracked on the character status screen. It starts at zero and gets higher the more often you die. But you can use this devastation only by talking to a certain NPC and accepting its conditions.

One of its features, which you will discover a little later, is the change in the appearance of your character in the form of Hollow and the ability to use devastated weapons. Also as the game progresses, you will find consumables to temporarily reset Devastation levels. Or you can remove the Dark Mark itself from the Keeper of Fire after bringing her a certain item.

The healing process can be quite costly and eliminates one of the possible endings you might get if you were devastated. Not to mention interrupting the entire quest line.

Read more about this in the section "The Dark Mark and Desolation - what it is and what they eat with".

Backsteps are back

Of course, critical hits never went away. You could always deal more damage when attacking an enemy in the back with the appropriate animation.

The difference between Dark Souls 3 and other titles is that the window between enemy attacks for backstep and the possibilities for its implementation is easier to define and use. It's almost like Demon's Souls. Nearly.

Critical attacks can be carried out until the last stages of the game, where the window will become shorter, and there is a possibility of not being in time.

In the beginning, feel free to rely on backsteps, at least to save on the use of estuses. At a relatively low risk, you will have enough attempts to learn this.

Some classes, such as the Thief, have superiority in critical strikes in the back, but it is simply vital for them.

Estus can be drunk on the go

Dark Souls 3 has vastly outclassed its predecessors, allowing you to run while you try to refill your rapidly declining health with a flask of estus.

When in the previous parts you had to freeze in place for this purpose, you probably learned from your own deaths that there can be only one second and two centimeters of difference between the boss's blow to finish you off and retreat to a safe place.

It's amazing how such small changes can fundamentally affect the course of an entire battle.

The adaptability of the DS 2 is gone

One of the things that many players hated in the second part is the need to invest level points in Adaptability in order to have decent damage, raise the balance and drink estus faster.

By the very presence of this parameter, Dark Souls 2 put you in a very disadvantageous position, and no one liked it. Instead, Dark Souls 3 only has the characteristics you'd expect from a Souls game, without any odd or ambiguous stats.

Your initial parameters still depend on the class you choose, but they are completely unambiguous and clear.

Armor cannot be upgraded

Unfortunately, Dark Souls 3 does not allow you to modify armor in any way. You can still do this for your weapons or shields, but not for equipment.

This fact gives great importance to the selection and combination of armor elements in order to maximize the effectiveness of the armor. However, it all hinges on the fact that a huge number of different types of equipment are available in the game, but each has different characteristics in terms of absorbing one or another type of damage. Simply put, there is no universal assembly, and you will most likely have to carry several sets with you at the same time "for all occasions", since one has higher fire protection, and the other has better resistance to bleeding.

In previous parts, it was popular to wear a complete set of a set, even if one part of it was slightly inferior to the same part from another set, because it could be pumped and significantly raise all the characteristics of the thing you liked. But now fashion is giving way to practicality and survival. Although who knows, maybe in a light rag robe and with a heavy helmet on your head, you will become the new trendsetter?

Redistribution of stats

The game has an NPC that will allow you to redistribute all your characteristics. SPOILER about covenant, NPCs and a necessary item.

To this end, you need to go to the Rosary, the mother of rebirth, to the Temple of the Deep. Join her covenant to make it happen, and don't worry - you can always easily switch between covenants without losing your progress.

After accepting, offer her the Pale Tongue, which you find on your travels (or performing certain actions). You can change the characteristics up to five times.

Illusory walls and facial expressions

Illusionary walls are optical illusions that look like walls, but in fact are not. Most often these are hidden doorways, which are quite numerous in Dark Souls. There are almost as many of them in the third part as in the previous one, and sometimes they hide something more valuable than just treasures.

Often, the illusionary wall is everything that stands between you and one of the secret areas of the game. When you have cleared the location of all enemies, climbed everywhere you could get in, and you still see prey that you can't reach - most likely an illusory wall lurking somewhere nearby.

And in the same way, facial expressions can meet you in almost any location. In fact, there are even more of them than real chests, so always, for prevention, hit them once before rushing to open them.

And yes, remember that it's best to approach the chests when all enemies around you are dead. Mimics are not a joke at all.

Crystal lizards

This wouldn't be Dark Soul without these little dirty tricksters who ruin your day by luring you into the most unexpected traps and leaving you with nothing. Fortunately, killing them is pretty easy this time.

A good kick or slash will flip them onto their backs, giving you plenty of time to finish your job. They also stay in the world longer before disappearing with the ends, as in the previous parts. So you can take your time, but don't stay too long.

It is very rare for you to meet several lizards in one place, so that you have to reload the fire and catch them all in turn. But even so, you will have a chance to kill them all in one sitting.

Weapon durability

Weapon breakage was introduced in Dark Souls 2 and was hated by most players. And if you played this game on PC, it was even worse for you. A solid 60 fps on a computer caused weapons to deteriorate much faster there than on consoles.

Weapon toughness is still a big factor in Dark Souls 3, but it doesn't make players suffer as much as they once did. In fact, your stock of estus will run out much more often than the weapon reaches 60 or 70% durability. And with the placement of bonfires as in the third part, you practically won't have to carry broken things with you.

Even if you ever find yourself in this awkward position of breaking your favorite sword while diligently hammering against every stone in the way, Repair Powder is cheap and works very effectively. For the entire game, you are unlikely to need more than a dozen of them.

New game will not start automatically

Miyazaki's pendulum of justice has swung in our favor again, replacing the horrific NG + movement from Bloodborne with the classic yes / no question. Dark Souls 3 provides you with this choice immediately after the final scene, and if you press No, it will return you to the Fire Temple.

The decision to switch to a new game is entirely yours. Once you feel ready, at the main campfire of the location, find the option available to you to go to NG + and go!

Bosses: the secret of victory

Dark Souls 3 is a very brutal game, and the local bosses match it perfectly. As with many life endeavors, knowledge is only half the battle, and along with it, you will definitely need good coordination, memorization of timings, individual preparation and strategy in each case. But they still have some things in common.

There are a few bosses that you can easily defeat, even if your reflexes are more like twitching your fingers and trying to press all the buttons at once. Others will be simple once you recognize their weaknesses or special tricks that completely neutralize the threat. Well, with all the rest, you will have to deal with it for a long time and painfully. It is for this purpose that we have selected for you some general tips designed to make your passage at least a little easier.

Use consumables

Too many players ignore the abundance and variety of resins and mosses in the game. If you know the boss is vulnerable to a certain type of damage, prepare your weapon accordingly using the correct resin. If during the battle he deals you additional elemental or status damage, reduce or completely get rid of this effect with the help of moss. These items are easy to acquire so you don't need to save them. Place resin and / or moss in the quick access slots and use as needed.

Always look for a cut

Apart from a few very rare cases, such as the Arena of the Crystal Enchantment, you can almost always try and find a faster and easier way to the boss from the nearest bonfire. You can often run past most of the enemies who, when trying to catch up with you, will lose interest in you before you reach the foggy wall - the passage to the boss. For example, you can very quickly run to the Vordt from the Cold Valley from the High Wall of Lothric, without killing everyone and everything along the way, but simply going down the stairs and jumping onto the ledge, then wait for the enemies to pass by, take the elevator, run through the ambush, take away to the right, when you run past the crossbowman, and jump out the window. From here, you need to make a short run to the entrance to the arena, and you only need to kill a couple of opponents near the doors if you want to look for summoning signs.

Keep calm

It may have sounded a little condescending, but calmness is of the utmost importance in this game. Of course, it's a shame when the boss can kill you with one blow - and this will happen very, very often. But consider, are his attacks too difficult to dodge, or are you dodging too soon or too late because you are too worried about it? Try to turn down the volume of the game and tell yourself that right now you are just practically trying to learn how to avoid the boss hits without trying to inflict as much damage on him as possible. Then, very likely, you can find that what seemed impossible before is quite doable.

Use Coal

Harnessing the power of the flame will greatly increase your health. This is of great importance, especially towards the end of the game, where the HP increases with an increase in the level no longer play a significant role. Coal is not a limitless resource, so use it only when you have fully thought out your boss battle strategy and learn how to dodge most of his attacks, but feel free to use it as needed.

Get help

If you are not well prepared or a certain boss has already become your personal nightmare, you can always find help waiting for you right behind the foggy wall. It will be much easier for two players to fight simply because they can divide the boss's attention among themselves, drink estus and stab in the back when he is looking the other way. Look for characters with unusual equipment - it often points to seasoned players who will gladly and without problems help you. Bulky two-handed tanks do not always show high efficiency and efficiency, and the rare magician you are lucky to find can turn out to be an amazing helping hand, destroying the boss with a few hits if you can keep his attention to yourself. If other players fail, or you cannot find their call signs, do the NPC quests to the maximum - then they will also try to help you. Remember that you can take two phantoms into battle, and if you use Coal directly in front of the arena, you are almost not in danger of invasion.

Co-op Guide

Playing Dark Souls 3 with a friend in co-op is one of the most popular and widely used features of the DS. However, at the same time, unlike most modern games, the process of joining someone else's session is much more complicated and confusing here.

The bottom line is that you add a friend (called a "call") to your game when you really need help. The same goes for joining someone else's game - you will be called up if the other player is not doing well on their own.

With that said, these simple steps will allow you to play co-op with anyone, and book access specifically for your friend. Below are the highlights.

Joining someone else's game

You need to purchase the White Crayon from the Temple Handmaid (the old woman in the Fire Temple) for 500 souls. This item is necessary in order to be able to leave call signs that other players will see and call you if necessary.

If you already have this crayon, select it in your inventory and use it as directed. Your character will draw a white sign on the ground. Another player, having found this sign in his world, will be able to click on it and invite you to his place.

If you are doing this to join the game for a specific person and no one else, you can set a password before leaving a sign. By agreeing a password with your friend, you can only be called by him and vice versa.

To set a password, select Options on PlayStation 4 or Menu on Xbox One. Click on the "System" icon on the right. In the "Network" section, you will see the option to put a password in the required field.

Make sure that you and your friend are also in the same location before starting this process so that he can quickly find your sign. Up to four players can play simultaneously in a co-op.

Joining someone else's game does not require use of Coal. In fact, you will receive it after the successful completion of the session, helping others.

Summoning another player

The boss of the location should be alive.

If the boss in this area was killed earlier, you will no longer be able to invite other players here (the same applies to them if they want to summon you).

Also, you must have activated the power of the flame (through Coal).

At the time of death, you lose this power, and your health bar returns to its normal size. In this form, you will no longer be able to call players to your aid and you will not see any call signs on the ground.

You can find Coal in the world, in addition, the power of the flame is given after defeating the boss. Coal is also sold by the Temple Maid, but this can be quite expensive in the early stages of the game.

If all of the above conditions are met, you should see the call signs on the ground. If your friend left you a sign and set a password, click on it and enter the necessary letters to summon him to your game.

Completion of the cooperative

Your co-op session ends when you defeat a location boss or when you or your friend die. This will automatically send each player to their own world and will not require additional actions from you.

However, if for some reason you need to complete the co-op manually, use the Black Crystal of Separation. This item will send the summoned player back to their world, regardless of whether your ally or yourself was the phantom.

Random players

If you have fulfilled all of the above conditions for a multiplayer game, but the signs of calling other players are still nowhere to be seen, you may have encountered one of the in-game restrictions.

These restrictions include:

 • the level of the summoned player must differ from yours by no more than 10 (belonging to the covenants and higher levels may allow a greater spread);
 • the level of the weapon of the summoned player should differ from the level of your weapon by no more than 2 (for special weapons that swing only up to +5, this value is halved, that is, to summon a friendly phantom, the difference in the levels of such weapons should be no more than by 1);
 • the Covenant you belong to should not be at enmity with each other (of course, you should remove any Covenant items before the call).

But you don't have to worry about these conditions if you play with a friend using passwords - in this case, your levels and covenants can be anything.

Well, now you're ready to take part in some serious co-op!

Travel checklist

Dark Souls 3 is a stunning and multifaceted world to explore on your own, but it can be quite frustrating to end up with such a long and complex game and finally realize that you've missed out on the lion's share of the content. Ideally, we all have the time and opportunity to play Dark Souls 3 multiple times, but if you just want the “perfect” game on the first try, we can help you.

This checklist will be able to become your guide along the way and will advise in what order it is better to study the locations, as well as how not to miss anything and nowhere. Everything you absolutely need to see, find, collect and do on your journey is listed here. But unlike the complete walkthrough, this list will not chew you under which bush and how to get this or that value, how to deal with enemies standing in the way, or even from what angle they will jump at you. All the joy from unexpected gifts, finds and deaths will remain with you. And this game loves surprises!

Although the names of the locations where you have to visit, as well as their key elements, we will not share the names of bosses, NPCs or covenants here - you can figure it out yourself, you just need to know where to look. Thus, you can learn the plot, overcome difficulties and go through quests with your mind and strength, but at the same time checking with this checklist and getting from the game everything that it can give you to the maximum.

Be sure to return to the Fire Temple regularly to interact with the NPCs and develop their stories. Bosses marked (ABOUT)are required to complete. Not all of the listed actions are available when you first explore the location: you can return there periodically to pick up what you didn't take. The procedure is random. The specific location is not specified. So forward into the game - explore a world in which your foot has not yet stepped. No spoilers!

ATTENTION! All further sections contain spoilers for the game. Don't read them if you want to explore Dark Souls 3 on your own.

Dark Mark

In the world of Dark Souls 3, being Hollow means losing traces of humanity as you succumb to the curse of the undead. Most of the humanoid enemies you will encounter are Hollow - aggressive living corpses.

When you died in previous Dark Souls games, your health declined, the ability to summon phantoms for help disappeared, and you had to use Humanity or a Human Figure to regain what you lost. But in Dark Souls 3, it all looks a little different. Upon death, you lose the title of Lord of Ash and must use Coal to regain the power of the flame and not become Hollow.

However, you can follow the path of devastation, which will have its consequences. In this part, we'll explain how the devastation system works in Dark Souls 3.

Dark side

The player will not be able to be devastated until he obtains the Dark Mark. This is a key game item, acquired from Yoel of Londor when the player accepts his offer to unleash his true potential (see the NPC guide below for how to hire Yoel).

After you have a Dark Mark, each death will increase your devastation level by one according to the number of Marks you have. That is, one Mark will turn each death into one level of devastation, two Marks - into two levels for one death, and so on.

Yoel offers up to five Dark Marks, each time raising your game level in return. Each of the five Yoel's Marks is available only after reaching a certain number of Devastation levels. You will need a maximum of 16 to gain access to all five Marks, and it is best to achieve this as quickly as possible, since Yoel will die after you defeat several bosses.

Three more Dark Marks will be available by completing the quests of Yuri and Anri from Astora (see the NPC guide for more information and spoilers).

The maximum devastation level is 99.

Bonuses and special effects

The most noticeable effect of Devastation is that your character becomes cadaverous. This visual effect gets worse over time as you become more devastated. (Also, as of version 1.03, your Hollow shadow disappears, which is probably a bug.) But this will not affect interactions with NPCs in any way.

If you don't like this look of the character, you can purchase the Dark Ring of Lies from Yuri of Londor for 5000 souls. It won't affect your status or devastation levels, but it will look less ... intimidating.

On the gameplay side, if your Devastation level is above 15, you will be able to activate the Devastated weapon, which will increase your Luck attribute. A Void Weapon sharpened at +10 will grant a +5 bonus to Luck, which can be doubled to +10. This is very handy for farming items. In order for Andre to upgrade such a weapon, you will need to get him Fel Ember from the Irithyll Dungeon.

Reset devastation

The Hollow state has no negative consequences, but you can either reset your current devastation level or get rid of it in principle if you wish.

To reset the level to zero, buy Cleansing stone from Yuri or, if she died, from the Servant at the Temple, giving her Yuri's Ashes.

In order to permanently free itself from the devastation and prevent further increases in its levels, it is necessary to get rid of the Dark Mark itself. This will close your access to the third ending of the game and force Yuri to leave the Temple of Fire. To this end, you must return the soul to the Keeper of Fire from the tower behind the Temple. Healing from the Dark Mark becomes more expensive the further you go through the game, so it is advisable to do this operation as early as possible.

NPC Directory

Dark Souls 3 is full of interesting characters, many of whom have more to offer than the only friendly face in the entire location who doesn't try to kill or eat you when he sees you. Regardless of whether you just want to add a newfound friend to your collection in the Temple of Fire, complete his entire quest line, get the most of the available opportunities, items and tips from him for defeating bosses, our NPC guide should help you with this.

They will definitely meet here spoilersso be vigilant. Characters are listed in order of appearance on a normal playthrough (with the exception of the Keeper of the Flame, which you will find at the end of the list), but their descriptions will touch on key points in the plot and partly reveal secrets that you should not have known. We have warned.

The first part of the guide lists all the primary NPCs, the services provided and whose lives directly depend on the player's actions or play an important role in the possible endings of the game. The same characters, whose existence is indirectly connected with the quest lines of the main NPCs, or who are not affected by the death of bosses, or the player's interaction with them, are described in the second part of the guide.

Please note that if you kill NPCs, their quests are no longer available to you, but you can continue to receive the unique items that they offered by bringing their ashes Temple maid or sometimes just for nothing.

Deserter Hawkwood

Deserter Hawkwood is in the Fire Temple when you first enter and can be found either sitting on the stairs or outside at the side entrance next to the graves. In the dialogues, he will talk a little about the Legion of the Undead and the Knights of Farron. He can be summoned in the battle against the boss Oceiros.

Talk to him as soon as you arrive at the Fire Temple to get a new one gesture.

Approach Hawkwood after defeating the Void Keepers and he will give you Farron's Ring.

Shortly thereafter, the Deserter will leave the Fire Temple. Hawkwood Shield can be found next to the graves not far from the temple.

To complete Hawkwood's quest, touch his summoning sign near the third bonfire at Ancient Dragons' Peak. Receive Shimmering Dragon Torso Stone, using the "Way of the Dragon" gesture at the peak, and then talk to Blacksmith Andre, you can fight Hawkwood at the bonfire of the Void Keepers. If you win, he will give you Shimmering Dragon Head Stone... If you lose, he will take the Shimmering Dragon Torso Stone. But you can always return to try to defeat him again, and if you win, you will receive both stones.

In addition, Hawkwood can be summoned to help with the Nameless King.

Leonhard Ring Finger

Leonhard is a mysterious character who can be found opposite Lothric's throne in the Fire Temple. He will give you five cracked red eyeswhen you talk to him for the first time.

Get hold of Pale tongueby invading an alien world and killing another player (or you can find one language next to the optional boss in the Undead Settlement) and bring it to Leonhard to get Key to the hall with a lift... Use it to access the Dark Spirit in the basement of Lothric's High Wall tower. Talk to the NPC after killing the spirit and get "Applause" gesture and Red eye, which allows you to invade foreign worlds without limit.

Leonhard will invite you to join the Fingers of the Rosary. (Note: joining this covenant will prematurely end Sirris's quest - see below). If you accept the Red Eye and become a member of the Rosary Circle, Leonhard will be waiting for you at the door to the Rosary bedroom as soon as you offer her at least one Pale Tongue.

When you come here again, the Rosary will be already dead, and you can take Black eye from her body. Don't worry, you will still be able to access the Covenant's services through the Rosary bed, and you will also be able to resurrect her later if you wish.

The black eye can be used in the uppermost room above the Aldrick boss arena. There you can invade another world and fight Leonhard. The reward for defeating him will be Crescent sword, Silver mask and Soul of the Rosary... Use it to revive the head of the covenant or exchange it for a miracle Abundant Sun.

Greyrat of the Undead Settlement

A very useful in-game vendor who supplies a number of unique items that are no longer available anywhere else. The Greyrat of the Undead Settlement is the first character most players will encounter after leaving the Fire Temple. Provided they search well. To take this NPC to you, find Lothric High Wall in the location Camera key, free him from prison and agree to take the ring.

To develop this storyline, find Loretta's bone in the Settlement of the Undead. Bring the thief this key item. The next time you return to the Temple of Fire, you won't be able to buy anything from the Gray Rat, but after talking, he will give you a new one. gesture.

After some time, the character will get okay and offer to send him to the robbery. Agree, and he will leave the Temple, but then (after killing any boss) he will return with new items for sale.

The second time Grayrat goes on a sortie, there is a chance that he could be killed, and the character's ashes can be found near the Yorshka Church bonfire in Irithyll of the Cold Valley. His life (and, accordingly, death) is closely related to Unbreakable Patchwork and Siegward of Katarina... To keep Greyrat alive after his second journey, complete Siegward's quest before letting go of the thief, and do not speak to Patchwork until Greyrat is gone. Whoever goes to rescue him must have a Catharine set. If this is Patchwork, tell him where Greyrat went as soon as he leaves for Irithyll (for this conversation with Patchwork, you must first talk to Siegward twice: in the tower of the Undead Settlement and at the well). This must be done before killing Pontiff Sullivan, then the thief will return immediately after defeating the boss. And sit by the fire as soon as Patchwork is about to rescue Greyrat to update the location and make sure they both leave. If you chose Siegward, he only needs to give the armor to Katarina and not appear in Irithyll until the victory over the Pontiff.

Greyrat can be released for a walk a third time, but here it will die in any case. His corpse will remain on the roof of the Great Archives at Lothric Castle.

If this character is killed during any of the sorties, take Ash off his body and take this key item Temple maidto be able to buy all the things that Greyrat has stolen during his adventures.

Yoel and Yuri from Londor

Big spoilers!

Yoel of Londor is a pilgrim and primary spell dealer in Dark Souls 3 who plays an important role in unlocking the third ending. To accept Yoel into service, you need to visit him as soon as possible at the bonfire at the foot of the high wall in the Settlement of the Undead. If the character remains alone for a long time, he will soon die.

Yoel will offer to "unleash true power" from the player and give one free level. Accepting this service means going to the "dark side" and appearing in inventory Dark markthat infects your character with Void every time you die. Yoel makes his offer five times as your desolation levels rise. On the 16th, the last fifth mark will become available to you. By purchasing them all, you will receive five levels of devastation for each of your deaths.

Yoel dies when the player defeats a few more bosses or collects all five Dark Marks. There will be no negative consequences from this.

When this happens, and the player has five marks (not healed - see the Fire Keeper entry below), the deceased Yoel will be replaced by Yuri of Londor. She will sell Yoel's inventory, as well as several unique items, including Londor Holy Tome and weapons Dark hand... Talk to her when she first appears in the Temple and get a new one gesture... Further dialogue with Yuri will give you hints on how to reach the third ending of the game.

If you heal the Dark Mark, Yuri will leave, and this ending will not be available. If, on the contrary, the player maintains good relations with her, it will become possible to call her for help in the battle with the final boss - and the secret ending will be opened.

Yuri has a negative attitude towards Orbek of Vinheim... If he dies (see the entry about him below), his Ash you can bring Yuri and get in return Morion sword.

Cornyx of the Great Swamp

The first pyromancy teacher in the game, Cornyx of the Great Swamp is an important merchant. Upon his release, he gives the player Pyromancer's Flame and can improve it, and also sells fire spells.

Find Cornyx in the Undead Settlement, take him out of the cage and take him into service.

Talk to the NPC in the Fire Temple twice to get a new one gesture.

Bring him The Great Swamp Pyromancy Book, The book about the pyromancy of Karthus and The Pyromancy Book of Izalith to get new more powerful spells.

Hidden bonus: if you summon a character phantom Great Swamp Kukulus in Smoldering Lake and defeat the Old Demon King (while Kukulus must not die in battle), you can take Stained whip and armor of Cornyx next to the cage in the Undead Settlement where you first met him.

Irina from Karim

Irina and Aegon of Karim meet as a couple, but only Irina will move to the Temple of Fire for permanent residence. Take this extremely useful miracle seller from her cell in the Undead Settlement. Just talk to Aegon at the door and offer the girl friendship by holding out your hand.

You can expand Irina's assortment by bringing her Sacred Tome of Karim and Sacred Tome of Lothric... If you acquire from her all the miracles from these volumes, this will set her on the path of becoming Keeper of the fire towards the end of the game. You will find her in the tower of the Temple of Fire, where she will throw away all the dark books that (if) you gave her, and then they can be transferred Carla... In the meantime, after you fight the Dragonslayer Armor, Aegon will die. His corpse can be found in Irina's old dungeon in the Settlement of the Undead and taken from there Morne's Great Hammer and Moaning shield.

You can also give Irina Londor Holy Tome (sells Yuri, see the entry about it above) and Abyssal sacred tome... Moreover, if you acquire any "evil" miracles from these dark volumes, Irina will no longer be able to become a Keeper. Further events will depend on how far you have come in the game:

 • If the case is drawing to a close, and Aegon is already dead, the girl will remain in her place in the Temple of Fire, and you will need to buy all the dark wonders from her in order to bring her to the last stage of madness.
 • If Aegon is still alive, he will take Irina to the fire of Judge Gundir, where he will survive you and will be extremely hostile. Kill him, and Irina will return to the Temple of Fire, and then you will also need to completely empty her inventory.

In any case, Irina will stop trading with you. Put on Aegon's gloves ( Morne's Bracersavailable for purchase from Temple maids after his death) and touch the girl when this option appears in the dialog box. How to be with her further depends only on you.

But while Irina and Aegon are alive and well, the guard can be summoned as a phantom on the Path of Sacrifices and in the battle with the Armor of the Dragon Slayer. In addition, he will visit you in the Fire Temple after defeating the Guardians of the Abyss. If Irina dies or is affected by darkness, Aegon will become hostile to you and will be unavailable for summoning.

Sigward of Katarina

Katarina's Onion Knights are back in Dark Souls 3! The first time you meet Siegward of Katarina is when you enter the tower in the Undead Settlement. Leave the location (or die) and return, then you can meet him on the open balcony between the upper and middle floors. Here you can join him to fight the optional boss and get toast gestures and "Sleep", and Sigbrow, which can be exchanged with Chick in the Temple of Fire, then talk to Siegward again.

If you want to continue his quest line, make sure sent Gray raton his first foray or do it as soon as possible, as they are related.

Your next meeting with Siegward will take place directly opposite the Chapel of Purification bonfire in the Temple of the Deep. If upon arrival you do not find the knight in the well, spend a few hours cleaning the Temple up to the second floor inclusive, but no further. If by this time he does not deign to reveal himself, and you have already done all of the above, go to the earlier game locations and then return here again. Eventually, it should appear.

When Sigward is in the well, you will learn that he has lost his armor. You can buy them from Unbreakable Patchwork for 10,000 souls. It can be found a little further in the Temple of the Deep, or in the Temple of Fire (see the entry about it for details). Throw the Onion Knight's armor down the well before you defeat the Deacons of the Deep to complete this part of the quest.

The next meeting will take place in Irithyll of the Cold Valley. From the Far Manor bonfire, search for a room by following the small sewer by the lake. Complete the dialogue.

You will then find Siegward in the Irithyll Dungeon. Find a pit full of rats (be careful, they respawn!) Near the sleeping giant and talk to the character through the window. To save the knight, head to the Defiled Capital bonfire and find the blue roof of a house in the swamp. Look from this roof to the stairs to see an open window that you can jump into. This will take you to Siegward's cell.

If you bring his quest to this point, he will join you in the battle with the boss Giant Yorm and will most likely win this battle for you. Talk to him again after the battle until all the lines are exhausted. Sigward will die shortly after the battle. As a result, you get Catharine set.

Henri of Astora

Big spoilers!

Anri of Astora is a prince or princess of romantic interest in the game. Paul Henri will always be the opposite of the protagonist's gender. (Since your gender in Dark Souls 3 is almost irrelevant, you can pre-select the opposite of the one you want to see in Anri in accordance with your romantic ideals.) In addition, he (s) is a key figure in obtaining the third ending games.

For the first time, you will meet Henri with a companion Horace the Silent on the Path of Sacrifices. Talk to both of them to ensure their further movement and get badge of the blue guards.

Return to the Fire Temple after defeating the Deacons of the Deep and talk to Anri again.

Then look for Anri in the Catacombs of Kartus and learn that he (a) lost Horace. Find him in the Smoldering Lake, moving from the Abandoned Tomb bonfire, and talk to Anri again before going to kill High Overlord Volnir. All your actions in this part of the quest will have profound consequences.

 • Leave Horace alive and not speak to Anri until High Overlord Volnir is killed: Anri will die in the Catacombs of Karthus after defeating the boss. This is a premature completion of the quest and you will not receive any unique loot or results.
 • Leave Horace alive and speak with Anri before killing High Overlord Volnir:Anri will leave the Catacombs of Karthus and their story will continue, but Yuri will leave the Temple of Fire, and the third ending of the game will become inaccessible.
 • Kill Horace and speak with Anri before assassinating High Overlord Volnir:Henri will give you Ring of the evil eye, will leave the Catacombs of Karthus and the quest will continue. The third ending will be available.

Meet Anri again at the bonfire Yorshka Church in Irithyll of the Cold Valley. Here the quest branches out: there is a pilgrim disguised as a statue in the room, and you have to choose - kill him or ignore him. Moreover, this needs to be solved now, before Anri left this location.

 • If you kill the pilgrim in the room: collect a spell from his body Chameleon... This will force Yuri leave the Temple of Fire and will close you access to the third ending. Look for the summoning sign on the way to the arena with Aldrick, and you will be transported to the world of Anri as a phantom so that you can help the character kill the boss (return to your world if things go bad, and you want Anri to survive). Talk to Ludlet after defeating Aldrick in Anri's world and get Anri's sword... If you then return to the Smoldering Lake, Anri will attack you.
 • If you do not touch the pilgrim:look for Anri in the Darkmoon Tomb. Use the lever near the Anor Londo bonfire and head down the stairs. If Yuri is still present in your game (see the entry about it above), you will be able to marry / marry Anri and unlock the third ending. Come back here to pick up the spell Chameleon and, after a while, Anri's sword.

Orbeck of Vinheim

As the main seller of sorcery, Orbek of Vinheim meets between the bonfires of the Forest of Torment and the Connoisseur of Crystal Enchantment. You need an intelligence level of at least ten for him to agree to go to the Fire Temple.

Orbek's inventory will increase when you bring him the scrolls of magic. You need to get him at least one scroll before going to kill any of the Lords of Ash, or he can leave the Temple and disappear forever.

Talk to Obrek after acquiring several spells. He will reward you Ring with a young dragon, Slumbering Dragon Ring and new gesture.

Complete Orbek's quest by bringing him all the scrolls: Adept's Scroll, Golden scroll, Crystal scroll and Logan's Scroll... If after that you buy from him everything that he sells, then the character will leave the Temple of Fire and die. You can find his body in the Great Archives. Take Ashes of Orbek Temple maidto purchase his clothes Shroud of Mystery... Alternatively, you can take this ashes Yuri in exchange for a unique Morion sword.

Sirris of the Sunless Lands

Warning: for any version of the game below 1.03, touching the Sirris summon sign may break the game.

You will first meet Sirris when you return to the Fire Temple after speaking with Henri of Astora and Horace the Silentat the unfinished fortress. She will not treat you with great friendliness.

Once you gain her respect, you can summon Sirris to help you in battles against three bosses: Guardians of the Abyss, Deacons of the Deep, and Lothric, the younger prince. If you join the Fingers of the Rosary covenant at any time during the game, Sirris will become hostile to you, will no longer be available for summoning, and her quest will fail.

To get Sirris' location, collect Ashes of the Dreamer near Farron's Elder Wolf campfire and return to Temple maid... The next time you visit the Fire Temple, Sirris will appear here a second time and give you a new loyalty to the Dark Moon gesture, which will come in handy for joining the Darkmoon Blades covenant.

For the third time, you will encounter Sirris near the Irithyll of Coldvale bonfire. Relax by the fire, then return to the bridge guarded by the monster and look for the summoning sign. Activate it to appear in her world and help her defeat the invading dark spirit Creighton. Return to the Fire Temple and Sirris will give you Silver cat ring and Consecrated Panzerbrecher.

After defeating Aldrick, go to the Pit of the Devastated bonfire and activate the Sirris summon sign there to defeat the Righteous Knight Godric - a real, not a phantom, which you probably already met in the game. Then Sirris will swear allegiance to you. (This will also unlock the Marauder Covenant for those who missed it before.) Return to this location in your world to collect set Godric.

Talk to Sirris in the Fire Temple and she will express satisfaction and willingness to die. Sometime after that, find the ledge between the Temple of Fire and Judge Gundir and take Sunset shield... Later, when Sirris dies, her Sunless set can be purchased from the Temple Handmaid. And used by her Talisman of Eclipse will appear on the same ledge where you previously found the shield.

Unbreakable Patchwork

The favorite of all NPCs in Dark Souls is back and, as usual, does it with the sole purpose of tricking you. In addition, he carries with him unique equipment, which is vital to complete the quest Siegward of Catarina.

Your first chance to meet the Unbreakable Patchwizard will be outside the Rosary's bedroom in the Temple of the Deep. His appearance here is associated with the completion of the beginning of the quests of Sigward of Katarina and Gray Rat in the Settlement of the Undead. He will ask you to cross the bridge and lower it as soon as you do. Your character will take fall damage and will likely be attacked by enemies of the lower levels of the Temple. Return to Patchwork to hear his apology.

Patchwork may not appear in the above location if you come here by a different route. If this happened, and Patchwork was not in the Temple of the Deep, but you need Siegward's armor, return to the Temple of Fire. Buy Tower Keyif you haven't already, and study it carefully. Leave this location, then return there again and re-enter the tower. Patchwerk will lock you up. Use the bone of return (or die) and look for this character: go up to the upper levels of the Temple of Fire on the same side as Leonhard and the side entrance. Patchwork will apologize again; if you don't forgive him, he will give you Rusty coin and prostrate gesture.

If you have not met Patchwerk in any of the above locations, but have already defeated the Guardians of the Abyss and Deacons of the Depths, he will appear in the Temple of Fire regardless of your actions.

If Patchwerk is sitting when you approach him in the Temple of Fire (exit the area and come back after your first conversation in the Temple to see this), he will give you squatting gesture.

Unbreakable Patchwork is indirectly related to survival Gray rat in the Settlement of the Undead. If you want to keep Greyrat alive, never tell Patchwork where the thief went; in fact, it’s best not to talk to him at all until Greyrat sets out on an adventure, but that doesn’t guarantee the safety of the Greyrat himself. Patchwerk will resume selling his goods after the next boss is defeated, and the thief will return from his sortie if Sigward from Katarina goes with him to save him in time (see the entry about Sigward above).
