Dinosaur levels

Living organisms in the game gain experience and value in the graph in a slightly different way than the character. Creatures have three types of levels in ARK Survival Evolved: wild, domesticated and born in captivity.

The first is the indicator with which a wild creature lives constantly. A dinosaur or other living thing is born with a specific number in the graph. And do not change it until the player takes care of taming. A wild beast cannot have more than 150 LVL.

In the process of taming, at maximum efficiency, the creature can add another 75 levels. Therefore, ideally it will be tamed with a value of 225 levels.

After taming, you can additionally rock the pet, adding it another 71 level to the figure obtained during the receipt. To do this, you need to apply the taming efficiency and gain a maximum of 2,525,000 experience points. In this case, in an ideal scenario, a domestic unbred dinosaur (mammal, bird, etc.) will be able to have a maximum level of 296.

But the LVL of a captive-born creature can be twice the maximum domestic level. It may happen that a newborn will receive 450 LVL - the largest of those allowed on the official servers.

How to Spawn a High Level Dinosaur in ARK Survival Evolved

If you do not want to look for a creature with a high level for taming, you can simply summon it using console commands. Cheat codes work either on local servers (in a single player game), or when used on their own online server.

Before using cheats, you will have to register the EnableCheats command in the console. Then you can safely call a dinosaur with a specific level. To do this, you need to register the following:

Where the number 200 is the desired level, instead of which you can substitute any value. After spawning, a creature with the required LVL will appear, which remains to be tamed or killed.

The character is also limited to the maximum level in ARK Survival Evolved, like a dinosaur. The final figure is 100 levels (before Ascension) and 115 after (5 pieces are added after each level of the tek-cave).

For achievement maximum level 100 you need to earn 1798538 experience points. In this case, the character will receive 3144 engrams for the entire game (which is less than the number of engrams in the game ARK Survival Evolved).

If you count with the levels added by the caves, you need to earn 6473538 experience points to climb to 115. In this case, the engram points will be 4194 (which, however, is still less than the number of available engrams).

How to level up faster

Leveling up is useful, but very boring. Therefore, I want to raise the levels faster. What do you need to do for this in ARK Survival Evolved? There are different requirements for dino and humans.

How to upgrade a player

Some useful tips how to become an experienced player as soon as possible:

1. To quickly earn new LVL at the initial stage, it is enough to actively extract resources and craft things (in particular, a cloth hat).
2. The next step is to tame the creature. With it, it will be easier to hunt other lizards (in priority - stegosaurs) and get resources.
3. After 14-16 LVL you can go hunting and kill dinosaurs. For this, a lot of experience is given.
4. With the progress in training, tame more and more powerful lizards (Raptor -> Spinosaurus -> Tyrannosaurus and so on).

The more you kill animals, craft things and collect resources - the faster your experience grows.

How to level up a dinosaur

There are not as many actions available with dinosaurs as with the player. Therefore, it is important to immediately take care of the maximum pumping of the future pet even at the taming stage. Try your best to get the maximum LVL.

If the lizard has already been tamed, its level is pumped the fastest by hunting serious opponents. Therefore, grab your pet and go to destroy the local fauna. The more you kill, the more resources you have and the more experience your pet has.

Pairing

First, all of your previously harvested eggs will only work for human consumption. They are not fertilized. In order to get fertilized eggs in update 219, you need to bring together two tamed dinos of the same species. In the patch, not all types of creatures can have offspring yet, but most can already. You will know that your dynos will be able to have children by their indicator: "Enable Wandering to Mate". So get the attractive female and male (tamed) together, allow them to roam freely ("Enable Wandering"), and just in case, lock them in a paddock to be around for a while. If you did everything correctly, beating hearts will appear over their heads and information about the mating process will be displayed on the female's indicator. Also, both dinoes will have an indication of who they are mating with.

When the mating process comes to an end, the female will lay a fertilized egg. After which she will not be able to pair for a while, this information will be displayed on her indicator. Males will be able to mate as often as needed.

Incubation

Fertilized Egg will not hatch while in inventory, place it on the ground or floor. The discarded fertilized egg will not deteriorate, but incubation will require maintaining certain temperatures characteristic of each species. Outside the permissible temperature range, an egg will eventually lose Fertilied Egg Health and at zero it will be destroyed. All this will be displayed when you look at a fertilized egg, as well as the names of the parents in the description of the egg.

Offspring

Upon successful incubation, a baby dinosaur will jump out of the egg. Children initially have an extremely low level of health, carrying capacity and stomach volume, therefore, in the first days of their life, they need to be carefully fed and taken care of, otherwise they will soon die. Over time, as they grow older, they will be able to carry more, get more HP and more stomach volume. Babies do not initially belong to anyone, so you need to "Imprint" them to prove that you are entitled to the babies after birth.

On the this moment, baby dinosaurs will not be able to attack or be saddled until they are fully grown. Therefore, they will avoid any fight.

Selection

Cubs' base stats will be a random combination of their parent's base stats (at the time of taming), like their color. And here's the most interesting thing:

Since the cub randomly inherits any of the characteristics of its parents, it may have more "absolute" characteristics than its parents. For example, you have a daddy trike with "natural maximum" HP (all experience gained in the process of taming went to HP) and a mother trike with "natural maximum" endurance, mating with each other they MAY have a cub with BOTH natural maximum characteristics, HP and stamina. Then, when the baby grows up, you can pair it with another grown dino, which turned out to be other maximum characteristics by nature, for example, attack and carry weight. Thus, you get an even more powerful third generation trike. Etc. With the help of such selective breeding (and the chance of getting the best characteristics in cubs is 70%), you can weed out unnecessary characteristics, leaving the necessary ones, and after a sufficient number of attempts to breed an Überdino with all maximum characteristics ... and the world will shudder.

However, you cannot see the characteristics of the cub before it hatches, so it will take some effort;)

In addition, dinosaurs do not need to be in the same tribe to mate. They just have to be non-aggressive, tamed and close to each other. So the tribe can, say, rent out their winning dino, and then both tribes will split the resulting eggs.

Oh yes, the younger the cub, the fewer resources you can get from butchering, but the likelihood of getting Prime Meat is high. From newborns, you are almost guaranteed to get a couple of pieces of prime meat>: D

Growth stages

The age of babies is not expressed in days, as the length of the day in ARK may differ. The maturation process is displayed on their indicators, they grow in real time, and there are 3 stages of growth: infancy< 20%, юность < 50% и подростковый возраст < 100%.

So yeah, it will take a significant amount of time and the use of certain skills to bring out the dominant super-dino race ... and in real life is not it? ;) (ok, this has gone too far! :)

Parents' choice

And so, we are going to raise top dinosaurs. What do we need for this? At least tame two dinosaurs of different genders with the highest level possible. You should not look for only level 150 (off the server), for our purposes dynos from 140 and higher will go. Why is that? Because the required stat according to the result of taming may turn out to be higher than the analogous characteristic at level 150.

It is believed that several wild dinos of the same level have the same characteristics - this is fundamentally wrong. Let's figure it out. We will raise pteranodons. There are basic things to look at on the official level 1 wiki:

The increase for each subsequent level increases only one parameter and stun. If we meet a wild pter of the 2nd level, we will know for sure that his stun is 120 + 7.2 and one parameter is also overestimated besides speed (of course, this point can accidentally fall into speed, but it will not have any effect. because wild dino do not add in speed. It follows that a stunned dino of the 150th level has 149 points to be distributed according to any of its characteristics in a random order. According to the theory of probability, of course, it can happen that all the points will fall into one desired characteristic, but the probability is monstrously negligible, but a level 140 dino, by chance, can get many more points per stat than a level 150 dino.

It is worth making a reservation that pumping the parents will not affect the characteristics of the child that could be obtained by crossing them. Only basic characteristics those obtained when the parent is tamed are passed on to the descendant. It is necessary to strive for the maximum efficiency of taming, since the future characteristics of the stunned dinosaur depend on it.

And so, knowing how much per level is added to each of the characteristics and knowing the initial values ​​of these characteristics, after stunning the pter, we can already calculate how many points were added to each characteristic:

We consider health: From the received 1386 we subtract the base value of the first level 210 and divide by the number of points for each level 42. Answer: 28 levels are in health. Thus, we calculate each characteristic and see the result:

For the convenience of calculations, you can use a spreadsheet. We see that there are no more outstanding characteristics here. As a result of taming, the picture can change dramatically, but one fact should be taken into account: if one of the characteristics of a dino is significantly overestimated before taming, then with a high degree of probability it will further enhance this characteristic.

We also count the levels, but here we add to the calculations different coefficients for taming, TA, TM and a little more on the little things. We will take into account only the largest one - TM, the rest will not be, the simpler the better, although we will have a small error in the calculations. The main thing for us is to determine the greatest characteristics and decide whether to mate this animal. Formulas like this on me

Mutation - randomly changes color and adds 2 levels for one random characteristic of the child. Better to initial stages mutation breeding did not occur because at the beginning of the journey the probability of meeting a dino better than a dino with a mutation is quite high. After all, the number of mutations is limited and it is better to save them for later and improve the already quite significant characteristics, but then how lucky. All mutations are inherited from their parents and accumulate. You can get a maximum of 20 mutations from the mother and 20 from the father, i.e. 40 times some parameter will be improved by 2 points. This will give 80 more levels on top of the available ones.

We see that the stamina parameter was overestimated by two points - this is the mutation.

What is a top dinosaur? This is a child who has absorbed the best characteristics from many parents, has the maximum possible number of mutations in the desired characteristics, brought up with 100% affection and pumped by the player to all possible 71 levels.

When you have such a pair of pets, you can sell their eggs on the server for an obscenely expensive price.

About 120 pteranodons were injured while writing the article. For me, a cub from the third generation with level 271 would do just that, if you still swing it to the maximum of +71 level and make affection - you get a good 342 level fly with a 30% increase in damage and defense.

Unfortunately, the official wiki is very rarely updated and it is not always possible to find up-to-date information on its pages. There is a program for creating mods on the ARC, called DEVKIT and it is sewn into the UNREAL ENGINE engine - it always contains up-to-date information for all dynos. It weighs about 120 GB.
